Hi everyone, I need suggestions for stocks with high dividend yield every year. I am planning to invest and achieve RM50k per year from dividend. 1. How is that possible? 2. Is it possible? 3. How much money to reach the goal? 4. Recommended stocks? I hope that this topic can help me get a clearer ideas and maybe can become a reference for other investors as well.

Can, if you have more than half a million in cash and buy REITs with dividend yield of 10%+

We have already discussed most of the high-yielding stocks in the market. You can ask your question there or look at the counters there. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=596903&hl=I believe a simple maths can tell you with an average yield of 6%, you'll need RM830,000. Go figure.

If like that and you have that kind amount of money, better put in FD with your own % interest yearly that you want to achieve by discussing with the bank manager..

Wow 50k dividends a year is a lot. Hard to achieve unless you already got lots of money at hand. But very possible if you are a retired person who suddenly find themselves with a big EPF payout or company retirement fund. 50k a year is like 4k worth of expenses a month. More than enough to cover daily expenses for most healthy people.

Realistic high dividend yield stock is around 6-7% (not guaranteed but highly likely), so to get 50K dividend, around 750K capital is needed to achieve it.
Anyway can discuss in the high dividend stock thread as mentioned by Jordy.
