Again, most low end Floyd Rose systems are very unreliable. Heck, even ones like on my Razorback 255 isn't that good....... they go out of tune if you abuse too much and basically, wears out fast.
HOWEVER, if it's installed with an ORIGINAL Floyd Rose system, like the ones on higher end ESPs, Jacksons and Schecters, then yeah...... those are freaking awesome.... but I'm sure Everdying has something to say about that Generally FR systems, original or licensed, won't have as much sustain as string-thru systems and they are a bitch to retune and change strings...... although if you do it long enough, you'll get the hang of it. But otherwise, you get to end and pull like crazy and won't go out of tune as much as non-locking systems. |

well, basically it is a self preference thingy
if u like to use the whammy, then perhaps u can go with the Floyd Rose thing. and bout maintainence, it is up to u on how u work on it |

Haha, spend few hours trying to figure out on changing strings and tuning on the edgeIII floyd when i first got it. Once u get the hang of it, its fine.
Unless you love to jump around with tunings lol. |
