Go to Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>Sounds tab, you can change the Start Windows sound but I think you need to convert whatever sound formats you have to wav.
Edit: It's for windows startup, not boot. Is there any boot sound? This post has been edited by n0v4m4r1n3: Jul 19 2009, 10:20 PM |

There is no bootscreen sound. I'm not sure if the kernel loads the drivers then. That's one of the reasons your bootscreen is in such low quality. You can change your logon sound though using the method mentioned by n0v4m4r1n3 above.
But then again there might be a way to hack around, or just leave your phone/iPods on then and play your Transformers ringtone. This post has been edited by c2p: Jul 20 2009, 05:55 PM |

@atersken
if i understand.....u suggest to make a sound while booting? i mean while the bootscreen load,let other device make sound while controlled by the comp itself.. but if could someone had done it....sure his comp will make a lot of peoples curios.... if logon sound...sure the n0v4m4r1n3 method is correct... and nowadays it's kinda troublesome to found a *.wav sound-set for windows theme... it's not like when the Win98 ages |

QUOTE(skynet_V2 @ Jul 21 2009, 02:08 AM) @atersken Yeah. Not sure about those now. I rarely turn off my com nowadays and so it doesn't really matter to me anymore. Maybe you'll want to check this for some open sourced sound packs. |
