I would like to know if you guys here recommend me some fictional books (sci-fi or not) about World Disaster/Apocalypse or something ? I walk into the bookstores looking for these and I just don't know where to start, lol.

Hmmm, Apocalyptic/ Post-Apocalyptic stories are not my cup of tea, but here are some good ones I've read:

Kim Stanley Robinsons Science in the Capital trilogy - consists of Forty Signs of Rain, Fifty Degrees Below, and Sixty Days and Counting. Global warming & environmental disaster.

The Drowned World by J.G. Ballard - An old classic, also global warnig. Post-Apocalyptic.

Good Omens by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett - The lighter side of the biblical Apocalypse & the Antichrist. Hilarious.

Lucifer's Hammer by Larry Niven - The original Deep Impact/ Armageddon story.

I Am Legend by Richard Matheson - Very different to the movie.

Damnation Alley by Roger Zelazny - Post nuclear + plague.

Cormac McCarthy's The Road & Walter M. Miller, Jr.'s A Canticle for Leibowitz are both post-nuke holocaust books & are both very literary, so they're very demanding reads.

There's a long list here, but titles vary wildly by quality.

Go check out Day by Day Armageddon! Awesome zombie book.

Try Brave New World by Aldous Huxley or 1984 by George Orwell. They're not exactly apocalyptic but discuss futurism among humans.
