There's really nothing much they can do. Yammi is just too power
and they only get in Ichigo's way.
And as the way I see it, Ichigo also wanted to fight him one on one.

Why didn't Aizen use wonderweiss to put out the flame that trapped him, Gin and Tousen in the first place?  Then his espadas wouldn't die so quickly and easily. |
