If u watch his improvement since the begiining u would know that although his power is keep growing but he get weaker all the time

At first ichigo with kenpachi without eye patch, no bankai + skill, draw;
ithen, block the dam big phoenix thing, just put the sword behind him, not even a block and destroy that thing;
deal with byakuya, bankai only, able to avoid byakuya bankai and get a draw.
when comparing above to recent,
get bang by grimmjow's fang when he can avoid byakuya bankai and with hollow mask, lol;
get smack by nnoitra who later get owned by kenpachi, in which ichogo suppose to get a draw with kenpachi in the beginning (lose in reasonable way since he got tired after defeat grimmjow)

If u recall back his battle, all his battle after he obtain bankai have to go full which mean must activate his bankai and hollow mask when he had it, somemore most of the time even activate both he also not able to crush his enermy
He was dam fast when dealing with byakuya but after that his shunpo from that time like disappear for no reason because unable to avoid many type of attack that is so much lower level than byakuya bankai

not forgotten... actually Yamaji had fight with Aizen-taisho and yet he lose too... damn it! too strong lor Aizen
