Aizen:... Have you lost your mind? Onmitsukidou (the secret arts/manuevers), not only that but the main commander, this isn't the time for pursuing the aesthetics of fighting in the face of revenge. Not the time for the virtue of death. Don't think this is just the life of one man. What you should protect, if you need to protect from the enemy, then you should attack from behind. Even an ordinary shinigami, would've learned this in the school of the spiritual arts. Especially if you're Onmitsukidou.

ソイフォン『…裏切者風情が死神を語るとはな　笑わせる』

Haha, saying that Aizen planned everything is really funny. If true, this means that he must have:

1) Arranged for the initial hollow manifestation near the Kurosaki home.
2) Arranged it so that Kuchiki Rukia would be the one sent to deal with this manifestation and that she would give her shinigami powers to Ichigo.
3) Arranged for Kuchiki Byakuya and Abarai Renji to be the ones sent to retrieve Rukia.
4) Known in advance that Ichigo would beat Renji and that Byakuya would use his "destroy soul link" move on Ichigo.
5) Known that Urahara would then partially hollowfy Ichigo in order to restore shinigami powers to him.
6) Arranged for Ichigo to face Zaraki in Soul Society.
7) Known that Yoruichi would keep Ichigo away from Byakuya until he achieved bankai and known that Urahara had a device to speed up training of bankai.
8) Known that Shinji and the other Vizards would then contact Ichigo to help him to develop his hollow mask abilities.

And so on and so on. If he had failed to properly calculate everything, then Ichigo would simply be killed and his plan would have come to nothing.

Aizen talks about the will of the hougyoku and how it isn't merely to cut down the barrier between hollow and shinigami. Basically the hougyoku has a will of its own and what it seeks to do is to understand and then create what is inside people's hearts. So it made the vaizards true vaizards because that was Urahara's wish. It gave Inoue and Chad powers because they fretted over their own inabilities. Rukia was able to give Ichigo all of her shinigami power as it was her desire due to not being free of the pain she still felt over killing Kaien.

Aizen says that now the hougyoku is a part of him he can realise that. Gin and Ichigo interrupt but Aizen says he is mostly finished anyway. While exclaiming how worthy the hougyoku is of its name Urahara attacks from behind. Aizen, Ichigo and Isshin turn to see him. Aizen: "so you came afterall Urahara Kisuke."
