Guys, i'm looking for Full HD TV size 40'-42' & don't know which one is good for me. I'm using it for PS3, Xbox 360, DVD, PS2 & Astro.

May u all share ur opinion for the brand & model below.

1. Panasonic Viera TX-42LZ80MK

2. Sony Bravia KLV-40V550

3. Sony Bravia KLV-40V400

4. Samsung Series 5 LA40B530P7R

5. Samsung Series 6 LA40A650

6. Toshiba Regza 42RV500E

7. Philips 42PFL5403S/98

my budget is below RM4k...

just now i went to tv shop & looks like toshiba got a good PQ for astro. the salesman said that sony PQ for astro is worse than toshiba but sony is not on display so i can't compare the PQ.

don't always 100% trust salesman as they only want to sell or clear off their stocks......you have to compare both tv with the same settings & same source

after some surveying, i've decided on 2 models only

Sony Bravia KLV-40V550 & Toshiba Regza 42RV500E

but still i don't know which one. please help me choose...

im using sharp aquos lcd,px5m 37inch,so far 3 years of xboxing,no problem,great lcd,since ur into gaming,mayb u need to consider 100hz lcd,mine when playing fast action game,its abit judder sometimes. expecially half life copter flying and oso bioshock. since ur budget is rm4k,plenty of good one out there FULL HD,u can try plasma,panasonic 42S10 full HD,price rm3100+at lowyat plaza.....plan to upgrade end of this year.and take ur time to visit best denki or harvey norman,n check out the PQ

hmm... i just not into plasma.
i already visit both shop & looks like HN is much more xpensive than BD. today will go survey again. huhu...

My company has 4 Regzas 2 - 50inch and 2 - 32inch used for monitoring purpose and as a welcome signboard for visitors

All spoil except a one of the 32inch...

I'll go for the Sony or Sharp..but check for dead pixels for the Sharp..If got then it becomes your problem.

Anyway, I never really like the black levels of LCD (except Sony High End Models).
Worst is, LCD gives a feeling of a thin black line on edges and even humans outline.

I just bought the Panasonic Viera TX-42LZ80MK on Sunday.
4399 RM + wall mount bracket + HDMI cable, 5 year warranty

I have PS3.. playing fifa09, no judder, smooth, unlike my 32 inch LG
Happy with it biggrin.gif

If 16:9, then not very good. Like they say, Plasma better for Astro. However i heard that using Monster Cable will improve it a lot.
