Careful, be clear on your " vice versa " statement. some ppl will thought that if K40AB is slower and the guys ram faster, it will run in faster speed then. which is not true

well that's true. that's what happen with my rig which i OC ram bought quite some time DDR2 667 to DDR2 800 ( to be parallel with OCed cpu ), which in the end " NO FELL ", LOL

actually DDR3 and DDR2 can have good performance gap, but due to some issue now still no fair increase. issue like speed, common DDR2 ram can bought likely DDR2 800 to DDR2 1066, while DDR3 can be bought was DDR3 1333 to DDR3 1600 ( without consider those extra-expensive one ) see the difference of speed ? little !
another issue was what being previously argued. FSB speed. no matter how fast you ram are, still cap by bus speed ( FSB for convention intel cpu, HyperTransport for AMD, QuickPath Interconncet for Intel Core i7 ). Obviously from Intel's Core i7 changes, you can notice DDR3 cant smoke DDR2. In fact Core i7 introduce triple channel ram so ram bandwidth can be triple ( instead of double in DDR2 ) to eliminate ram bandwidth bottleneck.

DDR2. And yet you include GDDR3 inside which was impossible since is a graphic memory type.

agree with both feet up. Becoz intel and amd had different memory controller. Intel had best combination when both same speed to eliminate bottleneck on whether side. AMD which having better experience in designing memory controller embedded.

It seem everyone going for K50AB, what about K40AB ?

Lighter weight ( less 250g ), more asus utilities ( from asus website )
I dont bother 1.6" inch screen size, numpad ( maybe handful ), better price/performance ratio ( yeah but K40AB also good )

K40AB got extra utilities ( from ASUSTEK website )
Asus SmartLogon, MultiFrame, Wireless Console, Fancy Start, AI Recovery ( plus AsusPower4Gear+, Live Update, Life Frame 3 )

K50AB got Asus Power4Gear+, Live Update, Life Fram 3, Splendid )

My question were DVD come with K50AB does only provide those 4 utilities only or ?

THX for that info, still considering K40AB n K50AB, i really prefer lighter weight. Why Asus dont put different price tag on it ? smaller screen n without numpad cost RM50 lesser mah.
