GT 120M GDDR3 is better than HD4570...
but if GT 120M uses DDR2, it has the same performance level as HD4570 with GDDR3 (eg Dell Studio 15) |

considering the price range between a gt120 m and a hd4570 notebook(k40ab-la!) if ur trying to find something economical take the latter coz gt 120 m notebooks usually are much more expensive.
Thx for tip kelvin! |

Hi, I'm considering this ASUS k40AB and also the Acer 4736G (Current price of RM2299 with intel)
I understand the graphic performance if better on the Asus, but My main concern if the tech Support/ warranty provided by them. I just went to a computer shop just know and asked about these 2 brands (acer & asus), he told me: " although a lot of forum condemn Acer, but that's because there are a lot more Acer users than other brands, hence if you estimate 1% of the machines got problem there will be a lot (in numbers) already. therefore more ppl complaint about them... Acer has more service centres... Asus warranty minimum takes 6 weeks " Just want to get some opinions from you Asus owners as to what you think about the statement above and what do you personally think about the tech support level of Asus? TQ TQ TQ |

You cant compare Asus with Acer.............at all
Hint: There's a reason Asus dare to provide 2 years warranty instead of the standard 1 years, you know? |

For gaming, look at the gpu.
Hints: There is a reason this thread is about k40ab instead of that k40ij or lj or jj or whatever, ya knows? |

Being an owner of an Acer(old model), Compaq(CQ-40) and now Asus i would say dat Asus built and quality so far pleased me more than ever. Acer has alot of customers cause they sell cheap and are well known to the general masses. Most Acer users are students and people who buys laptop just for the sake of buying a laptop. I believe there should be no problem for warranty if u deal directly with them. If a company offers u 2 years warranty they definitely mean business.
