then tuesday go n get a K50IN..

I found tat there gt little diff cooler design compare to 1st post one..
1st post tat one using normal fan n i saw that mine is using another (forgotten wat da name, HIS IceQ tat kind)
the only cons i found is speaker too soft n place in found.. coz always put half of lappy at the table only.. so there got nothing for it to reflect back..
and there got no bluetooth.. i tgt only AB model dun hv bluetooth..
and it very less interface..(esata, hdmi, express card).. but nvm la.. nt using oso..haha
and i found tat.. this lappy is SIBEH cool... wont feels hot at all.. even bottom..

i thought u can configulate ur fan speed using software right?

GTA IV quite demanding right. The fps should be better at 1024x768.

I just hope the new upcoming graphic engine for COD Modern Warfare 2 is playable with good frame rates with HD4570. Seriously i cant wait for it. 

Comparing the k40/50ab to dell studio15. you pay for what u get, considering the price:performance:feature paid ratio, they are about the same. Differences are

Asus k40/50Ab
- amd x2 cpu (lower batt life, & lower performance clock to clock to intel)
- no hdmi, no esata
- ddr2 ati 4570 (680/500) , memory overclockable to 600mhz
- free dos
- 2 years warranty, yes a BIG Plus point

That’s about rm700 diff, so basically it depends what you wan

Nope, there's no need to open casing when gaming. Palm rest is very cool..you should ty it out

k40ab doesnt come with hdmi  ??? really ?

Played GTA IV on it

not bad, managed to hit 15-20FPS @ 1366 x 768.

probably, a more powerful cpu would be able to scale better

i OCed my GC to 720MHz core and 550MHz mem and test play Prince of Persia for about 2 hours. stable no artifac.
