I know everyone's been complaining about slow connections, but is anyone else other than me experiencing extremely unstable connections? For the past week or so, ever since their so-called updates, I've been having problems connecting to a stable connections. I don't simply mean disconnections after surfing for a while (which happens from time to time). The problem I'm having is that I log in, I surf a link or two, and then my internet is gone. My DSL light is on, and my internet light is on (on linksys am300), but i cannot surf. When I check the modem status page I find my pvc up, ip address up, netmask up, but no internet gateway. I just spent the last hour trying to get on, and managed to finally get a stable line a few minutes ago.
I've already b****ed to TM about this, and I've talked to their engineers a few time. I guess I'm gonna have to b**** to them again. But seriously, is anyone else having to put up with this bullsh*t?

tmnet has disabled IP changing.
You cannot attempt new IPs from now on without disabling your ADSL line first.
Previously you could just do a disconnect/reconnect on just the PPP alone (with limited counts)
But now completely cannot liao.
If you disable the ppp you have to restart the ADSL.
Seems like it, but I'm curious as to how you know this. Did someone from TM tell you this? Previously, I can just disconnect and reconnect to get my internet up after I get the "DSL on but no internet syndrome", but not only do i have to restart my modem, but I sometimes have to walk away for 5 minutes or so after trying. Or maybe I do that just to get my bp down.
Damn...I cannot begin to express how much I hate TM.
