There are various ways to set alert, it can be ranged from beginner, intermediate to professional.
(Beginner)
For example, you wish to be triggered, when AMMB rise above RM4.00, or PBBANK fall below RM9.00, or TANJONG fall below RM13.00, here is how to set the alert.

(Intermediate)
For example, you wish to be triggered, when YTL fall above 30 days average price. You need to construct a custom indicator which look like this. For more detail on how to construct a custom indicator, please refer to JStock help file.

(Professional)
For example, you wish to be triggered, when Commodity Channel Index (CCI) being triggerd. CCI indicator looks like this : CCI = ( Typical Price - SMATP ) / ( .015 X Mean Deviation )
Unfortunately, there are no easy way to construct such indicator at current JStock (1.0.4d). We are working very hard to push this feature in version 1.0.5. Hence, just stay tune for upcoming release
