I Thought Forumer Ash Bricked His N97 Because He Changed His Product Code?
BTW, He Told Me He Changed It To 0576119 (RM-505_APAC_MALAYSIA Black) From 0586199..

0576350 Isn't Listed As APAC Malaysia.. It's Either There's An Error With The List In Symbian-Freak Or You Got Your Product Code Wrong..
*
nop.. not nokia problems also not my problems, coz my N97 is win through a event, my N97 at 1st is running Finish firmware, after Malaysia available.. we sent back to change it to APAC language support's firmware.. so thats y my product code is 0576350 APAC MALAYSIA..

Yup, at the Nokia screen. But on v20, after stuck awhile there, it will turn off.
How would I know.... I dont even know what MENA is... rclxub.gif

I Faced This Issue On V10 Last Time And I Found The "Work-around" To Fix This Problem In This Forum..
When The Phone Is Turned Off, Plug In The Charger And The Phone Will Boot Up Till The Flashing Battery Indicator On Top Right. Now Press The Power Button To Turn On The Phone.. It Should Boot Till You See The Home Screen..

Oh No Wonder. So There Are 2 Possibilities:

1) Your Current N97 Product Code Is Different From The Label On The Phone.. (High Possibility It Is Since You Say There's No Update Now)

Or

2) You Flashed To APAC Firmware Without Modifying The Product Code (Yes It's Possible, NSC Can Do It)... However If This Is The Case You Will Lose APAC Language Support If You Update It Through NSU Now.. The Reason Is That NSU Will Update Your Phone According To The Product Code..

The Best Thing To Do Now Is To Verify Your Product Code With NSS..

Note:
NSC - Nokia Service Center
NSU - Nokia Software Updater
NSS - Nemesis Service Suite

That is weird, as far as i know the NSU only detect the product code.
As long as the product code changed and the next update, it will change the language code as well.

u may wanna change again the product code using NSS > save it and then try again

Then I cancel it and change back to my original product code.

Saw in N97forum.com it said global release until 31/10. Think we have to wait few days...

Over here we can check rather than keep on connect the phone.
