Just to let all N97 users know ... New version of Nokia Software Updater is available now. As Nokia official news announced previously, new Firmware (2.0) will be available soon after NSU is updated.

Nokia N97 software update 2.0
Nokia N97 software update 2.0 will be released in the coming weeks. The software update will make your N97 perform even better, through numerous fixes, improvements, new features and new functions.

What's new
The software contains many fixes and improvements including:
Improved touch screen scrolling
Ovi Maps 3.1 with 3–D maps
Nokia e-mail, Ovi Contacts, Ovi Store
Improved memory and battery performance
Improved image and video stability

Software availability
As usual, we will publish standard non-customised versions of the software, with country (SIM-free) and operator versions following in the following weeks. The Nokia N97 (and several other devices) can check automatically for new software. Go to Menu > Applications > SW Update and enable automatic checking. MyNokia members will also receive an SMS stating "new software is available" as the deployment progresses. To register, go to www.nokia.com/mynokia.

When is do my update from v11 to v12 .. i didnt backup anything... everythings was fine.

but my advice is .. better backup ... no harm for doing backup

Do u mean the preview photo? Like after u take the photo, the img load for preview?

If that what u talking about ... thats not normal ... i got the img in 1~2 sec.

One of the guy in UK told that new firmware is available in UK thru the web, however, there is some problem...

yea ... i got the same problem here ... but only like once in a while ... and after that call ... it will automatically set back to the ringtone that we set previously ... weird
