I owned a Toshiba M50 and I paid RM6000 where back in 2006. Unfortunately the motherboard has broke down and it cost me RM2800 to repair it. The technician asked me to buy a new one.

The laptop is still brand new and I took good care of it.

Just want to ask is there any companies out there who is willing to fix or trade in?

Please help! cry.gif cry.gif

Sorry, but a 3 year old laptop is not "brand new" by any stretch of the imagination, even if it is in mint condition. It's positively ancient. Recover what you can from the hard disk, perhaps scavenge off the parts, thats most likely the best you can do. I doubt many trade in shops will agree to take an old faulty laptop.

Already use for 3 yrs still brand new? A laptop can use for 3 yrs+ consider not bad already, and its time to change new 1. If u feel u bought with Rm6k, only use for 3 yrs not worth, u can consider CQ40-401AX. Its below Rm2k, if 1 can use for 3 yrs, then Rm6k can buy 3 unit and use for abt 10 yrs, rclxms.gif

only if it has card like GeForce Go 7900...

else any mid range GPU today can pwn it already...

to be honest, even if he has Radeon X1600 XT, a integrated HD3200 is also better...

Look new laptop but the hardware is whats count...for Rm2.8k, you can get tons of good new laptop that actually can last for another 1 or maybe 2 years top...

*2.8k to repair is simply to expensive...better get yourself a new one...

*company that are willing to fix maybe there are some but the price will amaze you & trade in an old faulty laptop is hard to do but maybe you can sell the parts..
