bought it new.. not proven.. so.. probably unlockable..... But will it be like that if 4th core really defective? Just wanna make sure it's not the mobo problem......
*
Because by looking at it, it seems the 'stuck' is usually associated with:

-Motherboard and CPU is having a 'communication error' thus making them both keep 'talking' to each other while forgetting to boot...
-USB related problem, try and cabut every USB connection possible and boot...
-Try minimizing boot, for example boot only with CPU,Mobo, 1 stick ram, 1 HDD and thats about it...
-Reset CMOS and then set date and ACC ONLY!!! reboot, if still blink2 like previously, try disable Legacy USB and set booting device to Boot HDD only (probably already been done smile.gif )
-Use the template in my sig and post your configuration...

antonio has spoken... ok will try the steps.. thanks  nod.gif

OK tried all.. non work =(

*
Erkk...but there is an X4 during POST right???

hmmmmm....

What bios are u using....Any known bios for unlock?

Set the ACC to -2% for All Cores

Drop NB an HT to 1800mhz

Manually bump CPU vcore at 1.4v and CPU/NB at 1.1v

try and have a look sweat.gif

I think i've tried most of those.. not work... so it post x4 but stuck after tat.. is it motherboard issues?? I've updated newest bios.. should i try the old bios??
*
Technically speaking, if you reboot from Bios and there is no boot or the computer still is in X3 mode, then it should be your chip is locked...but now, the problem is your chip can be unlock 'X4' but cant move after POST....hmmmmmm... hmm.gif

so what could be the problem right now?
*
It could be a BIOS issue...juz hang-on until Giga release a new bios...

or

to confirm you 4th unlock cores can really work, try bringing you proc to your nearest friends that has a motherboard for unlocking....

Why not 790FX-GD70 brows.gif

QUOTE(carbonfibre @ Sep 11 2009, 03:04 PM)
can somebody how to oc my ram? Small things i should play with first
*
First you have to know whether your ram is overclockable or not....If can go up to 100mhz without error and upping voltage then it is ok...but if raise up to 2.1v but gain only 50mhz, better don't...not worth it... nod.gif

Whenever you raise your HTT, you raise your ram speed...

Ex. 200HTT / 200mhz

If raise 205HTT then ram becomes 220mhz.... icon_rolleyes.gif

here is what i tried to do  shocking.gif

the tRC isit important? o.O should i put it as 14 also.. i dunno how to do the timing , is adding mhz better than playing with timing.
take a look at the timing isit correct , and how do u read it o.o doesnt make sense to me

Added on September 11, 2009, 3:35 pmshit i cant seem to attach a pic -.- anyways

is 1.4v too high for ym proc?
*
easy...look at CPU-Z

in the memory tab look for your ram SPD...it should shows something like 4 diff acronyms which is basically the main 4 settings apart from the 1T/2T down below...

Look for the figure 5,5,5,18 and take note....take not of the acronym and their value...

Go into bios then set accordingly..

raise HTT untill PC can POST....the reduce back 3mhz each step until can enter windows...

I afraid later title sponsor don't allow other brands of mobo....but GFX I can demand open....

I assume that most ppl (AMD) uses (according to rank);

1.Gaygaybite sad.gif
2.DFI drool.gif
3.BioBintang whistling.gif
4.MSI rolleyes.gif
5.ASUS sweat.gif

Or is it the other way round tongue.gif

if i need to choose between gaygay & msi, i'll definitely go for gaygay... award bios rox...  tongue.gif
DeFinItely need not to say if price is not a concern...  laugh.gif

online submission can ah? me at negeri orang leh...  sad.gif

sometimes what we want & what we can afford are 2 diff things. i will take dfi @ anytime but my cfo says d other way round, so i'm biostar.  laugh.gif

most will go for biostar as long as price is a concern, unless d case like d 790gx ddr2 boards where asus just rm35 higher than biostar. if a person is in his rite mind, d extra RM35 is definitely worthy cause asus always come w/ better build quality.  nod.gif
*
Probably Comp will run with DDR3....And most probably if do, will focus on CPU score rather than 3D....

Extreme category (or Open some would call it) should be fun, but I scared newbies, if seasoned OCer I dun really mind...

But extreme in terms of cooling lar, not overvoltage via soldering... sweat.gif

haha what you think of ther performance of the aquagate s1?
*
Like I said before, I dun think....I must either know the spec or read from somewhere else.... tongue.gif

And most places that I read says that it is ok if you have bought one, but you probably look for an air cooling heatsink with silent but efficient fan which can do better... sweat.gif nod.gif

i heard CM not good wasting money.. seriously better air cooling or custom or other brand.. err got eh?
*
Some of their air-cooling heatsink are in fact quite good when compared to the price tag that it carries...

But since CM wanna do like every segment of the market budget type of business, there are some that are totally north worth spending any pennies for...

My old CM Hyper 6 full copper now cools my HTPC fanless...I dismount the original Alu shroud and left the cooler just like that....playing movies with matroska format or watching DVD temp still ok...

And it is on a 2.6ghz Northwood, which lastime I put a fan on...wakakakakaka

yup, it's pointless to go for gfx mark as CPU is d competin point. OS must be standardized too. xp ftw...  nod.gif

Probably will do;

CPU-z
SPI
3DMark 2006

Of course will mandatory standardize the OS and the HDD...also the amount of software in the PC when OC..... whistling.gif

want to ask about my oc phenom2 temp.
i read temp using everest..there got 2 different temp read by everest.
which one temp i need to trust?
cpu temp under 100% load.
Temperatures
CPU                        60 °C  (136 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #1 51 °C  (122 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #2 51 °C  (122 °F)

spec can refer to my sign.
*
Basically there are two readings, one taken from the motherboard sensor which is measured through a sensor located below the CPU and one on the CPU itself...

Hence, the two types of reading you can see in program such as everest....

QUOTE(kuntawakaw @ Sep 12 2009, 06:35 AM)
muahiann

CPU 60 °C (136 °F)                          <-------- temp read by mobo
CPU #1 / Core #1 51 °C (122 °F)      < ----------temp read by CPU itself
CPU #1 / Core #2 51 °C (122 °F)      <---------------same..it 2nd core.from cpu
and u dare to put 1.4vcore with apache cooler? and that vcore is not needed for 3.6ghz..i can get 3.6ghz with vcore lower then 1.3 and 1.392vcore can get 3.8ghz edi... (what batch eh.might differ then)

You otai maaaa.....not all chips can do like yours...tongue.gif

bro i got problem with my temps too

in HW monitor

i got 2 temperatures

TMPIN0
TMPIN1

0- is 45C
1- is 34C

which one is processor and NB? O.O my core is around 30C each

is this too high for 7850 @ 3.3
*
TMPIN 0 usually associates with the CPU and the TMPIN 1 would be the Northbridge (790gx chipsets)...Sometime there are also VRM sensors such as DFI boards....

3. DRAM Frequency usually stock is 400. now 508mhz ? i thought my ram is DDR2 800mhz? explain please..
