Huh?? Really...ok will try to boot from Bios pulaks...

No luck also...at 4.0ghz also can't validate virgin boot...boot straight away CPUZ also cannot...

The voltage was incorrect both CPUz and also Overdrive....So i use the Asus Probe to show actual Vcore

At 4.0ghz only SuperPI can survive...no matter what volts for the CPU I pumped, it still shuts down the PC...

This is SPI 1MB at 4ghz


This is SPI 32MB at 4ghz


This is 3DMK06 at 3.7ghz


For the 4.0Ghz tests I almost near to 1.75v, but to no avail in achieving a stable bench for 3DMK06...But gladly, I managed to complete SPI within the high voltage which I was pumping...

I don't know if its a mobo, CPU or chipset limitation or PSU, but for sure, pumping higher volts had almost always shuts down the PC....When I mean shut down I mean <1.695v I manages to boot into windows but cannot 3DMK06 bench...but when I put 1.7v-1.75v, the PC will shut down after POST...almost 97.21% of the time....

at 1.7v for 4000mhz, the power usage would be around 190-210+ watts and the graphic card would almost hit 200++ easily...

I unplugged everything thing except the ones need to run the PC also to no avail....

After around 1++ hour playing at 1.7v, I decided to backoff to 1.61v and started benching 3DMK06 at only 3700++ mhz....

Always shuts off....maybe its temp maybe its PSU or the most likely is the mobo not able to sustain a high clock speed...or maybe, I'm not good enough for my CPU

Mebbe it follows the SPD???

By the way, i have already set to 1.8v but in AOD it raises to 1.9v....the same goes for my proc...I set to 1.5500 in bios but when look into the Bios and Asus Porbe II, it shows 1.600v....AOD n CPU-z show 1.5500

Its not fluctuation...its like adding 100-250mV whenever a value is set....

Not much different in terms on ur result from me....looks like the 666mhz u have compared the 400mhz that I have doesn't really assist Phenom 2 in quicker calculation

Got....my ASUS M4A78-E I bought the Biostar TA790GX 128M for RM365 and the Asus was 35 more than the Biostar which lacks PWM Heatsink, E-Sata Port, had a thinner Alu NB heatsink and doesn't have a sticker.

Well before the 1302 Bios I was half-hearted with it. My heart was accusing my head to be too stupid to get the Asus and sold the Biostar. But everything change and after the 1302, both parts of my organs live happily ever after

For the RM35 extra, I'd say go for it....
