QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Aug 25 2009, 12:38 PM) i'm afraid u gotta pump lotsa voltage to make it boot @ 4.2GHz sir... No luck also...at 4.0ghz also can't validate nevertheless, best of luck in ya attempt... The voltage was incorrect both CPUz and also Overdrive....So i use the Asus Probe to show actual Vcore » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by antonio: Aug 25 2009, 01:18 PM |

QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Aug 26 2009, 11:33 PM) More than 5k...but kenot at 4.0...only 3.7 QUOTE(CV6149 @ Aug 27 2009, 12:22 AM) Result is in......... At 4.0ghz only SuperPI can survive...no matter what volts for the CPU I pumped, it still shuts down the PC...Unfortunately unable to get to 4ghz in x4 really sad.....nothing...not even more juice.....hit the blardy wall liao.. anyway here is what I got lor........please be reminded......not prime stable at all! hahahhaha PhenomII X2@X4 3941mhz SuperPi antonio turn lah... This is SPI 1MB at 4ghz This is SPI 32MB at 4ghz This is 3DMK06 at 3.7ghz For the 4.0Ghz tests I almost near to 1.75v, but to no avail in achieving a stable bench for 3DMK06...But gladly, I managed to complete SPI within the high voltage which I was pumping... I don't know if its a mobo, CPU or chipset limitation or PSU, but for sure, pumping higher volts had almost always shuts down the PC....When I mean shut down I mean <1.695v I manages to boot into windows but cannot 3DMK06 bench...but when I put 1.7v-1.75v, the PC will shut down after POST...almost 97.21% of the time.... at 1.7v for 4000mhz, the power usage would be around 190-210+ watts and the graphic card would almost hit 200++ easily... I unplugged everything thing except the ones need to run the PC also to no avail.... After around 1++ hour playing at 1.7v, I decided to backoff to 1.61v and started benching 3DMK06 at only 3700++ mhz.... This post has been edited by antonio: Aug 27 2009, 01:13 AM |

I give up lar...want to sleep....grgrgrgrgrgr....
Always shuts off....maybe its temp maybe its PSU or the most likely is the mobo not able to sustain a high clock speed...or maybe, I'm not good enough for my CPU |

QUOTE(cloudwan @ Aug 27 2009, 10:28 PM) By the way ah_khoo, have u ever met a case where ur vdimm suddenly jump up more than what u set in bios?? I just format my PC and i was puzzled coz when i check at HWmonitor it shows that my vdimm is at 1.71v while at EasyTuner it shows 1.696v.. I double check my bios setting i only set it at 1.6v.. Can reformating really do those thing?? Before format eveything ok By the way, i have already set to 1.8v but in AOD it raises to 1.9v....the same goes for my proc...I set to 1.5500 in bios but when look into the Bios and Asus Porbe II, it shows 1.600v....AOD n CPU-z show 1.5500 |

QUOTE(-pWs- @ Aug 29 2009, 04:04 AM) Not much different in terms on ur result from me....looks like the 666mhz u have compared the 400mhz that I have doesn't really assist Phenom 2 in quicker calculation How come u can get score without going to web???
