Great post!

Err... i just bought ON Whey Protein...
Consume few days already...

Since there's no confirmation on HALAL, i'm not going to use it anymore.
If you're in doubt (was-was), don't consume it.

Now it's time to shop for a new Whey protein..
Any suggestion?

(God, forgive me for consuming it without checking it out first)

p/s: If anybody want the 4/5 full on my ON 100% Gold Whey (Mocha flavor), do let me know.

u know wat, i think 99% of whey outside there do not have halal sign.
u must as well stick to solid food diet then.

That's why I gotta find the Whey with Halal cert.
Agree, Horley is the most expensive Whey in the market..
But it tastes nice..

*Sigh*

In contrary, from my Google searching:

http://al-sistani.org/local.php?lang=en&mo...bid=53&pid=2816

Check out the point 21:

Whey (in all forms): It comes from milk and is used as binder and flavouring agent. It is halãl

true tat.
it just baffled me how fast he jumped into conclusion and decided to even sell his whey when he could have done some homework on whey rather than seek for forgiveness from god.

Homework done.. but skipped the information on Rennet and the equipment used...
In general whey is derived from milk... but the problem is the the process in the making..
It might be mixed with the other arguable sources..

if you read this thread form the start smile.gif

Thank you for choosing Optimum Nutrition to help you create your bigger picture. At this time, none of our products are certified "kosher". However, the rennet used in the production of whey protein is either synthetically and/or fungally derived. There are no animal products or by-products in our Whey Gold Standard save for the whey itself which is derived from cow's milk (dairy).

Best of health!

If you're in doubt, better don't take it.
And yes, I'm in doubt.
