does it mean if i failed done restart the phone but restart the PC ?
anyone here have failed flashing your jet ?

for the Factory FS XEII2 choose S8000_Open_Europe_Slav_OXE or S8000_Open_Europe_Slav_OXE_RU ?

whatever instruction posted by DarkForest is correct. I have once failed to flash my phone, it failed mid way because it was my fault hehe. doesn't matter what happen, if flashing is not successful, just restart your computer (leave the phone alone). after restart, re-do the steps. just put the phone back on bootload by pressing the vol+camera+power on button again.

for the factory FS, the _OXE contains English widgets. _RU contains Russian widgets. use OXE.

be careful at flashing! but i'm sure it's not that hard..

i failed 3 times when i flashed my jet.
serial port error.
but after i change the usb slot i use, it works perfectly.

Major Samsung S8000 Jet firmware update now available

Why GSMArena just announced the XEII2 firmware today since forumers here has been discussing it for quite a long time already...
At first I thought it includes update for Asian version, so disappointing
Why Samsung only focuses on Europe firmware? Is it really hard to apply same things on different language?

i've spent 30 mins playing with Jet and Omnia II

the other location is at sungai wang, samsung booth - not sure it's still there. but the Sun. Pyramid is a sure bet - go there

is it possible to reflash firmware to the previous one in case we are not happy with it??

maybe they think the market in asia is not big,so the after sales support also not that great compare to europe...

sigh...i doubt a fw that is as good as xeii2 is gonna appear in asia...
btw,samsung mobile msia said the latest fw is dxik ,and they said the improvements are better touch sensitivity,prolong battery life and better signal.

So I can just take my Jet to Samsung in Lowyat & they'll update fw for me, right? Do i Need to bring anything else (ie warranty, proof of purchase etc)?

hi, may i know how to set received sms save in phone instead of sms?
previously all the sms i received r automically saved in phone. however, since i deleted all the sms, the next sms i received is saved in sim.

hmmm...from what i know...it will save sms to sim for the 1st 50 sms then after 50 sms it will save to phone...and we can't do anything abt it...it is default..so far could not find any way to save to phone w/o saving to sim 1st...correct me is i am wrong

hmmm...last month when i went to flash my jet in samsung service centre in LYP...and i was told that they will move to berjaya plaza next month(which i assume is november)...u just need to bring your phone..that's it...but just check ur phone when they have flashed it...just in case they return other's ppl jet to you.
