still no GPS yet?

I found Jet to b priced at RM1759 @Brightstar in sunway, the lowest among all i asked so far

I just bought a Samsung Jet from Sungei Wang Plaza and on my second day of purchase the phone hangs.Everyday it hangs and turns off by itself around 3-8 times a day.Sent to service centre and waited 1 hour 30 mins to do a service upgrade and yet still prob persist.If i were to sent to factory for repairs and still the problem persist later,am I able to claim a new set??Its killing me to have spend so much money and getting hang up on me so many times.

thats somthing weird..mine dont have any problem like yours..

i think the problem is on the software...what about u try to flash your phone to another firmware??

i think now can get from kuantan rm1800 free 1 gb memory card warranty by fmg 18month...this brand very impressive but the price also luxury anyway it's a slim and nice phone.Got any user here ?

Ok flashing could be the possible solution.But first I nid to clear some questions.Coz this is the first time I've heard of this 'flashing'.
1.If i flash my phone,what exactly will I lose?I mean like which apps,games...and so on.
2.If i flashed my phone and prob still persist and I send it to service centre...does my warranty still work?
3.During the process of flashing do I nid to jump straight to the latest firmware or update 1 by 1?

1) All latest firmware is from europe..so you will only loose T9 Bahasa Malaysia, all asian language except Korean language.. games, application remains the same becos malaysia samsung phone come with stock app, games from samsung..in addition, the navigation software will be available(but for malaysia, till now the gps software not so useful)

2) Yes, your warranty still can be use..ask cybpsych for more info about this..

3) Yup, just flash to the latest firmware available..

samsung apps store opened. yet to find it is as good as iphone appstore

i wouldnt get an AP set for phones cost more than 800bux.

So, 3rd party software is created by samsung themselves?
That's very limited.

actually, there are 3rd party software developer.
currently the samsung appstore support omnia only.
according to news, other models including Jet will be covered
within December 2009.

going 2 buy samsung jet this week (RM 1620) , for the last time, anything bad about this phone beside no GPS? can watch flash like youtube?? is the phone as fast as iphone 3gs? Also pls let me know where can i get a cheaper price

just wondering whether this phone allows us to use mp3 or own files for SMS ringtone?? bcoz my previous samsung only allows me to use their built in ringtone for SMS..

yup, you can use your own ringtone/mp3 for message and calls..

but you cant change name of your profile..also you cant add new profile like in nokia..
