I used to get defensive when people suggested fx was just gambling. Partly because they don't understand we control the risk, don't bet the farm and likely wont lose everything, but also because I've never been a gambler and don't get a kick out of ups and downs - it's simply work.

However the last few months I have started to wonder. It seems to me you can rely on news,indicators, intuition and common sense and STILL be wrong 4 times out of 5. I went through a bad period in the gamme from about August to November when absolutely nothing I did ever worked. It was lose lose lose.

It may be because I was experimenting with different ideas, and now I've found better ways to control my losses (and suck em up); but I still feel that every time we enter a position, we are throwing ourselves at the mercy of cruel gods.

How to do a demo there?

There are no 'down to earth' good broker, it is all according to your needs, those brokers that you mentioned are called Market-Makers. They are cheap to invest your money without minimum deposit(as low as USD1),  it can execute alot of functions with flexibility, the drawside is your not playing with the markets, but the broker itself, means when you buy, your broker sells to you, when you sell, the brokers buy from you.

The other type of broker is the ECN(Electronic Communication Network), this broker is the only type that can take you live to the real markets(meaning bank transactions), real live traders buying/selling from you, instead of broker, but drawside is most of them need a minimum USD1000 - 5000 or so to register.

If your just starting, try Market-Makers broker, this is becoz they hv minimum deposit and you can 'learn' from the market before putting your whole investment in, until you feel comfortable with your trading style, then only switch to ECN to start 'earn' back your profits. if ur USD1k investment is ur life-savings or its more than 50% of your net worth, i advice you reducing to USD100 or lower to start with.

And why you all wana swith to UK brokers? Anything new happened to US brokers?

Every forex brokers also got ppl said they're scam, no matter small or big brokers. For example, you type "instaforex scam" in google, sure got a lot of results but you try type "ibfx scam", "fxcm scam", "oanda scam" and so on, all also got results. Are they really scam? Try to find out yourself.

Yeah i have been to their web, but just cant find their minimum requirements for opening an account there.

At least USD$5k.. for Retail.

If wan to trade directly from ur bank account(Maybank, Public, etc). At least USD$250k minimum.. XD

Bt honestly say Dukascopy is a trader's heaven. One of the best brokers(ECN) available, jz the requirements to qualify makes me sigh.. >.<
