My left knee feel pain after SCKLM... That was my first 10km run. Hence, I stop for a while and it recover pretty good.

But, yesterday I practice 10km run to prepare myself for Men's Health run next saturday... That 'pain' feeling come back again after run... Any sifus here can share about their experience on knee pain??

Wa.. bro dangerous wei!  icon_idea.gif
Even the pros dun do that tongue.gif dun run at all for 2 weeks den jump straight bk into a 10km..

You should have considered mebbe a real slow and ez 5km first..
Well.. jz try and train continuously.. considering ur doing 10kms.. alternate days 3-5km is okies den mebbe during the weekends go for 8 or 10?

Hope u recover soon!
Doesn't pay to be ambitious.. take tings slow tongue.gif

Oh okay, thanks for the advise. I always train with the threadmill and I thought it should be fine.
My knee pain won't take so long to recover, maybe 2-3 days... Feel pain especial walk down stair...
I hope can train well first before go for Men's Health Run...

hi,i registered shape/MH run through online.. to collect the t-shirt and bib number i know that we must show the printed confirmation e-mail.. but how about the reporting card...? i've not seen any email or info about it..

how about those who registered manually.. i guess u already have the reporting card, receipt, and shirt collection slip attached together rite..?
*
I registered online too. I just give the confirmation email print-out to them. I've collected my vest and those coupons/slips, no queue at all~ thumbup.gif

The weather was so warm last night. I stop at every water station including the one at the very beginning. I grabbed a bottle of mineral water from there but I couldn't finish it... Really appreciate they had another water station at the last 2km, I was so thirsty at that time. I really like their goodies back compared to SCKLM!

Fortunately, I managed to finish the journey with 71+ minutes. That was my 2nd run and I see improvement from it... happy~ biggrin.gif

Hi all, I am a new runner. I only participated two 10-km runs last year, SCKLM & Men's Health Night Run. This year, I would like to participate half-marathon at SCKLM 2010 and I am thinking to get a pair of new running shoe then start training smile.gif Normally I will run on treadmill for training.

Any recommendation?

I've seen some posts from sifus here... it seems like K-Swiss & Saucony are not bad tongue.gif
