QUOTE(d3vilzzzz @ Oct 26 2009, 12:44 PM) Hi all, d3vilzzzz are you sure that there was a gun firing?, i dint hear anything at all and i only know the race started only after i saw the crowd start to move froward.I trust you all enjoyed the run It was my first time running over there and I certainly didn't expect such a hilly terrain, what more 11km The LAST HILL was the BOMB!! I think it was really difficult to get there, the starting point I clocked 54'30'' hving pressed me watch as I heard the start gun go off (minus a minute or so for starting in the middle of the pack, hv to walk quite a bit before the official start line for the official net time), my position was 94!! I didn't manage to push as much as I wanted too due to my lack of knowledge in the route and considering my activities the day before.. I too waited at the milo van but left at abt 9.00am, wanted to escape the jam |

QUOTE(steveysl @ Mar 26 2010, 03:29 PM) hi all. All the best in Energizer. mine is A1019, suppose to be A1001 but their system screw up and assign me a new number. This is my first time running a full so please give me some encouragement on the road if you spot me btw, I think for the list of runners for Energizer, isn't it better to include Bib number? just a thought. mine is H8147. |

QUOTE(celicaizpower @ Mar 26 2010, 06:42 PM) Hi Guys, yeah just worry that if i run slow i will get left behind alone lol, it is tough and boring time running aloneI sked and cant wait for tomorrows event! For 10K runners & new runners, run slowly and take it easy. For 21K runners, make sure you drink at each stop. Keeping your body hydrated is a very good idea. (Most death in this sports are people running 21k due to severe dehydration) For 42K runner, carbo load kaw kaw, drink plenty of water & pop up some vitamins. Please don't take pain killers before and 2 hours after your run. It will damage your kidney. Also since this is a night run and there are only less then 1000 runners in the full mara category, please be mindful to help each others in case of emergency. Other than that, I wish you all the best of luck and God speed! to the finish line |
