Im worrying it might affect in long term. Im not sure its either my running form is incorrect or I need a better running shoe as Im quite heavy at 80kg and 181cm. Need your opinion on this, thanks in advance.
*
bro, if you are 181cm then 80kg is not that heavy la. I was 82kg (also 181cm) before I start running and now I'm at 75kg. So keep running biggrin.gif

any 10k runners here tracked the total distance for the Energizer Race? My Garmin seems to indicate it's about 9.5K only.

I think only the 21K is correct distance. I did the 10K and my Garmin showed 9.3K only. A few others in the Energizer Run FB also commented the same 9.2-9.3K distance. and I also read somewhere another runner saying his Garmin show less than 41K for the full.

A fren of mine who did 21K wrote in his blog his Garmin tracked exactly at 21.

P2 is where the Sports Arena is... it's very close the Lingkaran Putrajaya (ie the main trunk road) and if you are in P2, you will be able to see a Basketball court near to the bus stop.

I think P7 is on the other side (quite far away).

shahwan, if you get blisters easily you might want to consider getting one of those non-friction running socks one of the taikors here is selling.

I'm doing the Bomba 10K - they so efficient.. I went there (Jln Maharajalela) to sign-up and they give us the t-shirt and bib at the same time! Saves making another trip later to collect them. biggrin.gif

Not sure yet about NST Run since we've to submit our regr onsite la.. leceh tongue.gif

i hv no speed now, after all the long runs and marathons.  gotta cut back on those on focus on shorter distance fr June/July onwards.  The Bomba route is more than 10k, so doing a sub50 is not easy, coupled with all the hills.
*
ccube, you got all the stamina ma.. just pia right from the start and dun let go... compress all the 84K stamina into 10K. I think sub40 also can do la!! drool.gif

chinleong, might do Ipoh Run. Will see how things go as I'm afraid I might be busy during that stretch. If not busy, I'll be there....

I failed to finish in the medals position during the Larian Bomba, although I ran my fastest race to date. & the distance of the course was 11.02 km (based on my Polar), so my 10K time was 57 mins, a PR. Maybe I started off too fast, my 2nd 5K was 2 mins slower than the 1st. Well, I was just happy that I ran a fast race, but I was disappointed that I failed to finish the course in less than an hour. So disappointed in fact, that I was reconsidering some of my future purchases  sad.gif  sad.gif . But  in the end... I got over it & am looking forward to a better race in 2 weeks' time. ...  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

hehe.. yeah the Bomba's Men Open is very diffcult to get medals. Need to do like sub-55 for the entire race to be in the running. Right from the start, I see them all speed like they are in a hurry to get back.. LOL.

Or the alternative is to wait 10-15 yrs until you are 40+ yo like me... then can join the Junior Veteran. Jr Vet easier... my time was same as yours and I can still get medal. smile.gif

Saw a woman veteran runner at Larian Bomba wearing Vikram FiveFingers shoes. She's in my photo gallery (see above for link) but I think Tey's photos show a better version of her with a full view of the Vikram shoes. smile.gif
