And then you go back to a pad in a tournament biggrin.gif

Hi Pikacu, I didn't know I was squaring off against a LYN member, in the Bison mirror match that day. Nice to meet you *hello* smile.gif

For this Sunday's event, there'll be 2 PS3s hooked up to 2 TVs. Enough to go round for everyone, and you can just sit, watch and share stuffs. More importantly, if you're really really bored (which I doubt you will), the cinema's just next door and you can then return if you feel like it.

So even beginner players can join in and pick-up a few things to level-up your play. Anyone caught bullying will receive 10X the bully biggrin.gif

Those who want to have a look at arcade sticks can also come. Especially those curious over the HORI Real Arcade Pro 3, Mad Catz Tournament Edition FightStick, Sanwa and Seimitsu parts.

Those with faulty stick buttons, or want to take a peek at the insides, can also come as I will be bringing my tool bag along.

More spamming biggrin.gif

This Sunday I'm bringing over the IGN Insider Evo Finals replays for SF4, HD Remix and MVC2 - in HD smile.gif

If you want some Daigo Evo matches, some are still up. They're private MMs (Money Matches) where everyone (almost everyone) took turns to become The Beast's B***h LOL smile.gif

Marn really played a good game vs him...

people who plays Ryu, you should add this fella:

GFWL ID: DeOptician

he showed up on list last night, and handed my ass to me for almost 30 games. his Ryu footsie is amazing, i got totally shut down by his hadoken game. me and my brother played about 30 matches with him, we only managed to squeeze out 1 win over his zangief with my brother's akuma, hitting 4 Raging demon in the process.
His Ryu however, we never even came close to winning.
solid combo and amazing footsie game, definitely an example of a good zoning hadoken game.

and Mr. DeOptician, if you are here, pls identify yourself.

Just from your description, I know who he/she is wink.gif

Let him reveal himself smile.gif

Wow alvin, he must be a half beast ( full beast being daigo biggrin.gif ), u already a good player here & he dominate like that...
Does he add u in the first place? How is his latency bar like?

My guess...  TristanX's evil ryu? Our sf4 ryu champ? Some singapore/penang player?
Perhaps a SHE!? lol

Actually it's someone who I really think plays better than them. Evolution is very important in this game so you really need to keep up if you wish to be at the top of your game.

This person stays in KL, and took 4th at the SF Zero 3 tournament with his Gief. Thereafter he played a mean V-mode Akuma and Ryu, that's all I can say. As a 3S player I was amazed at his Ken's evolution at that game - man he learns really fast. It's been awhile since I met him (sold to him my TE stick), but based on Alvin's description, I'm giving a 99.99% confirmation it's him.

Not sure if he's keen to give away his identity wink.gif

Oh rawfish i think i knew who already. He's 1 handome guy! Hmmm remembered his gf accompanying him in that SFZ3 tourny.
I already think his zangief is quite beastly at that time.
Wow so many old schools are back and kicking some more  thumbup.gif
*
Wrong wrong wrong! (about the gf part) smile.gif I know who you are referring to and it's not him. That person doesn't game anymore especially after getting married.

He didn't say, but I think the actual person wants to stay low profile so I hope no one asks him too much about what I've revealed. My fault for telling too much. As I said, let him make the decision to share his identity.

I really think he's a good player and not many people seen him play. Not ready to unleash the beast yet LOL... smile.gif

*quick unrelated topic change*
Are you part of the gang I've been hearing who plays T6 at Sogo? I'm very interested to pick this game up soon once it's launched. Just thought it'd be nice to get to know you guys better.

I see, nevermind, hope to see this secret character being unlock soon lol. Seriously i enjoy last tourny organized by alan, such a lovely event. Love to see all the good players in malaysia appear especially the old penang players if there is another tourny later.

I don't play tekken much since T5. I think none of the tekken kaki i know play tekken much anymore. Most of them switch to SF4 currently, like victor and etc.
Though i did play some T6 at time square and there is some good players there but of coz sogo has better players due to tekken always release earlier there.
U shld have join us at sg wang in tekken tag era, tekken tag is the best tekken imo.

Did u play PC sf4? What's ur gamertag?
I saw u rocking with dhalsim at sf zero series, if u still play sim at sf4 i would love to steal some strat from u hehe.
*
I'm only on PS3, and it's not time for me to upgrade my PC yet. Online play's a bit discouraging too but I'm not choosy. That's why I carry a spare joystick in my boot everywhere I go hehe smile.gif

I love ST and Zero 3 V-Dhalsim. But I have no interest in SF4's one due to the need to be extra extra patient to play keep-away, and lack of interesting things to play.

I use this.
*deleted*

The head is like cun cun fit the nuts.
Then just spin like that nia can come out already.
Cost me RM12.50.
*
Older HRAP3 sticks use 6mm stick drivers, so be aware of this when choosing your tools. If I were you, I'd go for those multi-head drivers which cost < RM20.00 at most hardware stores.

hey Desmond, can show a picture of your tool set?
i'd like to get a set too.

Sorry Alvin, kinda lazy to go down to my car and take it out from the boot.

You can get it at Ace Hardware, Tesco, Jusco, most Pasar Road shops, etc. Very common tool set. I got mine from Ace @ Ikano.

It's either a screwdriver or a T-driver (the handle is like a corkscrew's), where you can simply switch the heads to various sizes of phillips (+) or flathead (-), or torx (*) or hex-socket (for nuts). Each set should have >20 types of heads and you will want to look for those with hex-sockets specifically. + and - all should come standard. The set should not be over RM20, otherwise it's a rip-off.

Hi everyone,

News flash!

This just came in.

Sony will be having another tournament this Saturday, 15th August 2009 at 1 Utama's Sony Style. Tentative time will be 12 or 1pm onwards, where registration will be an hour early. Alan will now MC the event and I'm lending a hand as part of the crew.

[WTS] Mad Catz Tournament Edition FightStick

Unit is well-taken care of. Consists of:

• Original unit purchased from Amazon, comes with the original box and stuffing if you care about that.

• Sanwa JLF joystick switched to a Seimitsu LS-32-01 one. Has a smaller gate so it has a tighter feel and moves come out better and more precise.

• Sanwa push-buttons switched to Seimitsu clear ones. Buttons feel more tactile and responsive, as opposed to Sanwa's softer ones.

• Custom, flame-polished, laser-cut plexi-glass frame as top panel (it's protecting the metal plate below), with artwork sandwiched in between. You can always switch to any artwork to your liking and this plexi frame enables you to just do that. The plexi frame extends to cover the entire top surface area to allow more room space for your hands.

• Unit is modded to (my) liking, wires all tied up neatly so if you wish to continue modding it to your taste, I will gladly guide you through. It's very easy, with the correct tools.

• My asking price? I'm looking at RM1000, and if you prefer Sanwa parts I will switch it back and provide an RM100 discount. I have Dark Hai (grey) and White buttons/balltop.

The big question: why am I selling it? I need to stay liquid for the time being. And nope, I'm not in a desperate financial situation so don't twist my arm... much.

*Honestly, does not work on most AMD rigs. If you have serious interest, I will drive to your location for you to test first before buying.

@rawfish,

That's the one I saw in the SF4 gathering.

It's really beautiful and awesome to play with, had a go for a round the last time.

Thanks for the compliment, I'm really glad you like it as much as I do. Hope it gets a new owner. Sometimes we have to let go of these things, right? smile.gif
