QUOTE(kianweic @ Sep 5 2009, 01:03 PM) Seems suitable for me.A bit of SF4 after a hour of TF2. Tempted now,but i promised myself for not getting games till MW2 or Shift.Feel like breaking this promise. Wait,it's RM70 now???? This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Sep 5 2009, 01:34 PM |

QUOTE(kianweic @ Sep 5 2009, 01:46 PM) It's on a weekend deal Testing with the benchmark now.USD19.99 x 3.6 = RM72 (approximate) Get an arcade stick as well, there's a few to choose from: 1. Madcatz TE & CE 2. HRAP3 And a few more which are similar to those. There are some limitations to playing it on the keyboard. My best results with decent quality of graphics is B.Is it good enough? How much is an arcade stick? What are the limitations of playing on the keyboard? |

QUOTE(kianweic @ Sep 5 2009, 02:31 PM) For arcade stick, you can just get HRAP3, it's around RM310 to RM330 depending on seller, Hellfire sell them @ RM330 and he does postage as well (Recommended seller) Damn, sticks are expensive. You can mod the buttons of the arcade stick which would be around RM70. You can get those from Jaylike7 and a few more sellers in the forum. I'll consider whether should i get the game or not. Thanks. |

QUOTE(gM | Mutsumi-san @ Sep 5 2009, 07:58 PM) Thats good. QUOTE(kianweic @ Sep 5 2009, 09:47 PM) Get the game and get a RM30 keyboard or Logitech / Genius / Xbox what not gamepad around RM80 or so first. Im thinking of getting a gamepad instead,if i buy SF4.You can always get the arcade stick later. I have tried all basic special moves for all characters on my keyboard even Guile and Vega's ultra (which is difficult to pull off on a keyboard) I can do 720 motion on keyboard but timing is very out. Probably a 360 one,as i find it comfortable to use. QUOTE(Darkstalker @ Sep 5 2009, 10:13 PM) Cheesenium Ah,i see,but still,it's better if you are able to pawn some people. Keep in mind that when you play, it's a bit of a social event, especially if you go to tournaments or gatherings. Added on September 6, 2009, 12:04 amI just saw some videos on Vega. Now,i really feel like getting SF4,as Vega was my favourite back at early 90s. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Sep 6 2009, 12:04 AM |

QUOTE(JuzJoe @ Sep 6 2009, 01:21 AM) I see.QUOTE(heaven @ Sep 6 2009, 01:40 AM) As a player who bought Xbox360 pad and then later Madcatz fightpad, seriously forget about the Xbox360 pad, i have an extra Madcatz to let go at less than market price too, like gM | Mutsumi-san I use pad too, it's decent for casual play, sticks for serious play or if you have financial freedom to do so. Ok,i guess a good pad is good enough then.QUOTE(Honky @ Sep 6 2009, 01:43 AM) @Cheese: I agree with JuzJoe, don't use the 360 pad, i used to play with that on my Xbox 360 but i seldom play on the xbox now becoz of the pad. If you can't afford a stick, you might want to try one of the Logitech pads, they're not too expensive and are quite similar to PS3 pads, so when you play on a fren's PS3 or join the tournaments, you'll easily get the hang of the PS3 pad Which Logitech pads are good? I would want to get Logitech pads after using their "legendary" MX518. |

Im still running the benchmark tool to test my performance.
Is an average of 50fps enough for smooth gameplay in SF4? How about 40fps? |

QUOTE(kianweic @ Sep 8 2009, 08:51 AM) For keyboard: Im already using a gamepad.Bind 3 punches and 3 kicks into a single key respectively. Practise the down + forward / back x2 motion in training mode. I guess i just bind 3 punches and 3 kicks to a button then. Added on September 8, 2009, 11:29 amThanks,it works. Can do ultra now. Added on September 8, 2009, 4:12 pmFinally fixed the GFWL problem. It was X-Fire's problem that cause the sign in issue. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Sep 8 2009, 04:12 PM |

QUOTE(Zangief82 @ Sep 14 2009, 09:00 PM) hmm...have you checked for the latest updates from GFWL? you mean everytime you log in to GFWL it auto signs in the offline version? He could be having the same problem as me.i think u might need to create an online GFWL account. its not registered through the game.. you have to reg through the net. finally one stupid question.. did your friend key in the ori CD-key while installing? I always go in via offline account, even i have a proper GFWL account. Then,i lose my internet connection entirely. It's probably a crap router issue. Similar problem with DOW2 too. Thats why i pretty much stopped playing.GFWL is quite a pain in the ass. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Sep 14 2009, 09:30 PM |
