i cant belive i spent RM100+ for this shitty game...

gameplay is the same as SF2 ... i mean its 2009 .. atleast have something special ... like something ingame that i can throw or use as tool or SOMETHING....

and yea... gameplay sucks compare to SF2....  the power gauge system was so damn awful...  i mean ... RAGE??? damn.. cant they stick to the standard power gauge????

and the skills ... yea... SF2!!!! and to think i would expect more skills for a 4gb game ....

the COMBO system was the worst!!! compared to Marvel VS Capcom... this game cant do any good combination .... no ariel wave ... no nothing!!!
i dont even know why it got such high ratings [PC version]....
I would definately give this game a 4/10
Graphic : Nothing special... just the character in 3D... and background was average
Gameplay : Worst than SF2 with the stupid new power gauge system
Replay Value : Very poor... cause all character skills were expected as its the same as the rest of the SF series skills... no point playing the arcade mode over again ...
Overall : I felt that i wasted my money on this game ....

there are some parts this game is similar to SF2, but also which is great in current technology applied.
with new play style applied. I believe a lot of SF2 fans will be so happy to see SF4. the power gauge system
is great, i dun see any problem with " unstandard " and what kind of standard u are seeking? this is SF4, not
other games that u used to play..

If u like marvels vs capcom series, you will never like to play pure street fighter series..
you must haven't watch youtube how those world class players do combo in sf4...
and also.. top player must not necessary always perform "combo"

search IYO (with some SF4 related keyword) u will see a top player playing w/o a good combo..

Actually you combo when you got confident to get the 1st hit on enemy.
You don't simply do combo cause after-combo got a lot of loop hole for your opponent to attack in.
So for safety, its better to stick with punch punch and kick kick until you get the 1st hit, then you kasi BBQ combo tapau sama your opponent.

actually, there are hit confirm combos...
which you confirm the hit with the first few strikes first...

and there are string combos...
where you do it anyway to set up position or chipping...

but in the end, you have to do combos to do big punishment.

Mad Catz SF4 fightStick TE though its better in design & quality its is juz way too expensive compare to HRAP3, almost double the price of it.

HRAP 3 is great value for money.

OMG, u serious? worse than SF2? u sir need to understand alil more about SF4 b4 u start posting half-ass reviews n comments. Go watch a SF2 video & SF4 video on youtube.com or sumthing, and u will see the differences.

It's so sad that u can post sumthing about a game which u haven't fully explore, any1 who has played Street Fighter will know that SF4 & SF2 are different; similar is to a certain extent only.
This is where u fail miserably; there is a standard power gauge, in addition to the Rage bar which charges up when u deal, receive damage or by performing a "special move". The Super bar allows u to perform a extended version of ur characters every special moves it also allows u to do a FADC which makes the game very flexible where it is quite similar to KoF 2002. Lastly as it's name suggest, its a super bar when fully charge u can perform a "super move". In other words, the super bar (or a "standard power bar" as what u like u put it) has basically 3 functions. Ex-special moves, FADC (Focuss Attack Dash Cancel) & "super moves".

The Rage bar only charges up when u receive damage or by absorbing hits from Focus attack. This is actually good cause it allows players that are at low health a chance to comeback at the game.
I'm so sorry that u waste ur money on the game(NOT!). You probably deserve it, cause u juz blindly pay for sumthing which u were juz curious y it has great ratings on PC.
If u expect SF4 to be the same as MvC, wouldnt that be dumb? y would Capcom make different fighter games play the same?

p.s.: MvC2, SF3: 3rd strike, SF2, KoF, SF4, Tekken, soul calibur are great fighter games.

Mortal Kombat is not to my liking.

sure his overrated, atleast his way better than any1 of us.

so u wanted me to name every single ppl thats turning up for the tournament? I juz name Daigo cause his probably the most recognisable player in the SF community.

Alex Valle, Ed Ma, Combofiend, Gootecks, Justin Wong, Marn and many more will be in the tournament.

Mago, Daigo's closest rival in SF4 will not attend the tournament cause he has no passport.

happy?

sorry... its just my opinion on the game...

1. Of course there's difference... i never said its COMPLETELY similar.... if you've played all the old SF series... u would know what im talking about... unless your just giving your comment based on playing SF4..... besides the shadow counter attack .... EVERY SINGLE MOVES and POWER are the same... and yes... ITS WORST than SF2 cause if you use ryu, you had to use 1 power bar to cast a fireball ... wussup with that...
2. About the power gauge... i doubt u even played anyother SF series before.... the older version is based on level power gauge... each level enables a super attack... for SF4 ... super attack could be achieve only by MAX power gauge or RAGE .... unless you assume fireball as a super attack then i got nothing to say....personaly, i still prefer the standard power gauge...
And YEAH.. i dont need you to explain how the rage bar works .... besides... the rage bar is not a good COMEBACK AT ALL!!! if your a true fighting game player... you would know that the RAGE only allows you to use the special SUPER attack... Whereas in the OLDER version ... the power gauge is also similar to the RAGE feature... when you take hits.. the powergauge charge up just like rage... but instead.. it gives you a variety of attack to choose from to counter your enemy... instead of example "Ryu" only able to use shinku hadoken...
3. Ive been a fan of Street Fighter... and i expect more from this release... the trailer seems promising but the actual gameplay is realy a letdown...
4. And yeah... earlier i would expect SF4 to have a combo system and the use of the stages enviroment to actualy show the use of modern game engine and graphics...which also means some new and special experiance to the latest SF release...

It realy surprise me to see the recommended system requirements to be at least a x1900 or 8600 graphic card...

1st u compare SF2 with SF4 & now u're bring up SF alpha/Zero into the argument? Obviously u have lost ur point & trying to bring up new issues to the argument; basically contradicting urself here.

PLEASE stop comparing older games with the new one, cause what is the point of SF4 if u keep comparing it with the older series? There would be no reason for Capcom to make SF4 if the gameplay stays the same. If Capcom had made SF4 like ANY OTHER OLDER SF game in the series PPL will complain also. So there is no way Capcom can satisfied every1's preference especially the sort of person like u.

If Capcom would had given every character a few options to their "ultra"(or what ever u like to call them) then there will be no need for the EX-moves which IMHO makes each characters moves's alil different with added properties. And to argue about Ryu only having shinku hadouken... its already good enough as there are so many set ups to execute that ultra, which probably makes additional ultra redundant.

e.g. 1 ) Shoryuken ppl of the air allows Ryu a free ultra on juggle.
2 ) Combo links -> shoryuken -> FADC -> ultra
3 ) At the corner, Ex- version of the "hurricane kick" -> ultra
4 ) Focus attack stun dash forward -> Ultra
5 ) at the corner, Exversion of hadouken -> FADC -> Ultra
etc etc etc.....

The new gameplay system allows player many ways of executing every character's ultra(except maybe Guile) which brings in alot of flare & creativity into the gameplay therefore its a plus point for SF4 over the other older series.

U maybe a fan but u're not receptive to new ideas & gameplay; typical. U're welcome to play any other SF in the series or any other fighting games if it pleases u.
