I am having quite a lot of trouble doing FADC.

Especially Sagat's HP Tiger uppercut => cancel => Ultra.

I always end up doing something like that:

HP Tiger uppercut => FA instead.

I have tried the short cut for uppercut and the normal way, normal way seems slightly easier to do.

Any tips would be helpful.

Uppercut then hold MP MK then when you see your character dash, only you let go.
Then timing sikit Front.HK, then Ultra.
The motion is quite slow, you can have a try.

my best advice is always, switch to sticks if you haven't. One day when Malaysia having SFIV arcades Everywhere, its easier for you to adapt.smile.gif

Same goes for TEkken6, i know its much much more easier using pads to do juggling, but for high level play, sticks is still nicer to look at..hahaha.

I am using an arcade stick, ie. HRAP3 with Sanwa buttons.

I have no idea how to use gamepads (for fighting games) although I have two of them.

I am likely to get another HRAP3 with Seimtsu parts sometime next year.

OIC. good to hear that..

remember the rhythm of FADC to ultra.

its same for Ryu, same for Gief, same for many other characters.

so if the motion is in your mind, it is just a reflex to you. if you are looking for a shortcut, well i guess there aren't . Everyone also at least spend some time inside training room to execute it.

try set the dummy to computer and do it for 15 mins everyday.
you can also set the dummy to RECORD , and make the computer jumps in to you with air mid kick, then set the dummy to PLAYBACK to train your reflexes, how late can my SRK be, HOw early will it hit? timed FA right after opponent leaves the floor. etc.

hope this helps.

Could be negative edge effect.

Negative edge is holding a button, doing a motion, and then releasing (only applicable to special moves and supers).

So, you could accidentally be pressing df, df and then releasing when you do your FADC, which results in a Shoryuken when you release the buttons.

Go training mode, look at the input, see what it says there.

Quick question:

Tiger uppercut -> FADC -> ultra

1. df x2 (shortcut) -> FADC-> Ultra

OR

2. d, f, df (the normal way)-> FADC -> Ultra

Which of the above is easier to execute?

Thanks.

^correction, it's not d, f, df it's f,d,df

there is another shortcut; d/f, d, d/f

neither is ezier than the other, it's juz preference on each individual. I personally use the normal way, and only use the shortcuts in bnb combos and Anti-air shoryuken to lower my hit box.
