actually u can try this......cheak his pc date and time zone......is happen to me last time , if time and date run will cause this happen

there is a trick/shortcut to do a c.hp->shoryuken. U have to know the shortcut for the shoryuken to make connecting c.hp to shoryuken much ezier.

The shoryuken shortcut is : d/f,d,d/f+punch or d/f,d/f+punch

so a c.hp -> shoryuken is: d/f+hp,d,d/f+punch

There is also another shortcut that only requires u to input the punch only once to do c.hp+shoryuken which i think it's call the negative effect:

press and hold the punch button when u do a crouching HP follow by down, down forward and releasing the HP button at the same time.

simpler explanation for doing c.hp+shoryuken using the negative effect method:

d/f+hp(hold the punch button), d, d/f+release the punch button here

for me, i also feel kinda piss off fighting with turtles that doesn't go offense when my hp is more than him. my Solutions is kick that player after the match. and i never get angry if Ppl taunt me or use Dan against me and Suck at it.
i use taunt sometimes, its always give a signal to the opponent that says ' i know you can do better than that, bring out your Main character' if you get what i mean.

Or you can make use of the Square Gate that came with the stick.
When you doing C.HP, use DownFront.HP instead of Down.HP, then quickly change to DownBack then DownFront Punch to execute the Dragon Punch.
In simple, DownFront.HP > DownBack > DownFront.HP.

I thought everyone should turtle against Zangief

turtling against gief is not call turtling anymore.. its called Zoning, its how you supposed to fight against him.

not perfect crossups will result in eating lariats.
block strings will results in eating SPD or even Ultra.

yea, zoning is not the same as turtling. Turtling against gief is asking for quick death; u let gief jump-in on u = GG.

Does that mean you should be happy when he turtles your gief?

i hate those akuma always jump backwards, unlimited fireball, and flash away when i get close.
he can keep on doing this for the whole session.

for those who cannot sign in to GFWL.
try to start up your windows, and off all the applications that uses internet port, i.e. xfire, msn or other IM,
before you start up SF4.

it maybe becoz the other softwares are fighting for ports with your SF4.

Anyway, i wont be happy if he turtles me, but i cant be mad as well because thats how they should fight gief, and i can learn how to anti-turtle.

Gief 1200 stamina - Akuma 800?
Gief's 1 heavy punch can sum up to normal fireball damage.
in the end he will be pissed knowing after running away with so much pressure and end up eating gief one ex-green hand combo.

tips: keep on blocking and move forward slowly until the corner . the options that normal average akuma has is either air tatsu away, or teleport away.

air tatsu away - do a HP punch green hand followed by a Ex green hand ( should be able to cover the distance , then lariat if still on air, or SPD if akuma is just landed, remember always use lP SPD )

Teleport - this is my FAv, if you know he's about to teleport, jump back 2 times and Ultra him, range will have to adjust.

i still lose to akuma, but not the always runaway type. those are history. Akuma's greatest weapon against gief is his raging demon upon my air landing, raging demon after he blocked my Ex green hand, and his front HK ( two kick motion, followed by his bread and butter combo )
his air pokes also beats lariat if timed right, and if timed right, youwill eat his bread and butter combo upon landing again.

His comp is quite new with parts from his old computer

Win XP(he hates Vista)
Gigabyte Extreme mobo
Intel i7 920 processor
Corsair triple channel memory 6gb(dunno what is the exact model number)
ati 4850
WD 1 terabyte HD
160GB samsung spinpoint(OS loaded on here)

Router is Belkin N+ Wireless Modem Router F5D8635-4v1(upnp enabled, and all necessary ports forwarded by me) and is detectable in My Network Connections as well.

Anyway here are the images of the problem.






Can log into IE, can log into GFWL client by itself, can log into MSN, can play WoW and log into Steam to play CS:S but can't sign in when open SF4 to play online.
Tried with all firewalls off, direct connection to modem instead of router also don't work, he's on Streamyx.

Hopefully there is an easy solution out there.......

Are him using wireless to connect to network?
Are you able to use another router to try?
which port u forward for SF4?

and if his mainboard had wireless network, some come with it.

shut down the service.

besides that, any other user connected to router?

tried bridge connection?

nvm, just found out if i using belkin router, having issues with GWFL too. cant connect always.

the TCP timeout setting and support too limited sent out packet for belkin router.

hmm...have you checked for the latest updates from GFWL? you mean everytime you log in to GFWL it auto signs in the offline version?

i think u might need to create an online GFWL account. its not registered through the game..

you have to reg through the net.

finally one stupid question..

did your friend key in the ori CD-key while installing?

belkin router user here, so far no major problem.

He could be having the same problem as me.

I always go in via offline account,even i have a proper GFWL account.Then,i lose my internet connection entirely.

It's probably a crap router issue.

Similar problem with DOW2 too.

Thats why i pretty much stopped playing.GFWL is quite a pain in the ass.
