4th instar is ok.. as long as its not 2nd..
the best way is to pick them up and scrape the mites away using a paper. Make sure the mites are scraped away. Do this on some large area where u can see the infestation. after few scrape, burn the paper and take another one and repeat the process. as for the bottom part, can use same method but for the pectine area use cotton buds, and magnifying glass if u cant see it properly. after that coat it with vaseline. DO not place the scorp on the same subs use a clean one. separate each one from the other infected ones. After few mins, wipe the vaseline off. (note- be very carefull not to apply vaseline on the booklungs.)

Added on July 19, 2009, 12:48 pm@lester - u sure do have alot of gravid scorps...

the book lung is the 8 hole on each below metasome (i sucks at anotomy) vaseline as subs... er no... just use normal coco peat or some damp tissue paper.
the other method is to dry the scorp... this also (some say) works to eliminate mites... but i havent try..
