guys, when a scorpion stings its prey, would it inject venom inside it? n will de venom dissolve into everypart of de prey? my spinifer ate a crix n left both de drumstick. can i take de drumstick 2 feed my Ts? will it be ok? scared that might contain venom

yesterday saw it actually suck its stingers... it put the thing into its mouth.

even 6 months with 3 of my afs , i dont even see them moving thier stingers , its totally rare for them to use thier stinger i hope to see xD

fallenAngel , maybe u can might get a bigger tank for ur afs ? they need bigger place haha well for my experiences xD as thier size are huge , try to juz drop crickets inside few times a week then putting mealworms xD u can juz  enjoy them devouring crickets Muahaha

i meant by the bigger place is like last time i use to rare my 3 afs in tank like his and they fight for shelter and push each other out from hiding place so it might stress them tat is what i was trying to say . and hor! when will my subadults molt xD its been the 1st day i got them they were still at this stage haha xD i juz hope thier moults will be successful and i wish to breed my afs xD 1 mature male and 2 subadult female which almost the size of the mature male so as i think it might left one more molt to fully mature stage xD

he is a quite passive hunter. de mealworm i left them there since 3 days ago. he dint touch them at all. ate a crix i put yesterday. i wait 4 de whole day n de crix even sleep on his head.

Looks good but u might wanna remove the food dish containing mealworm, totally no use as scorp with larger claw is ambush predator which mean they usually wait at hide for prey to pass by them and ambush them rather than going out to hunt for them
My scorp with no mites also usually does that

Telson color for Pandinus and Heterometrus indicate their age
White= babies, cream= sub adult, dark red/black= adult (Exception for H.Pettersi and H.Laoticus or perhaps more)

Added on August 7, 2009, 8:14 pmxD and i think thier shinyness also stand for thier age , well as i can see last time jun shern has a gravid afs then gave birth de then few months , its shells keeps getting blur xD no shinyness at all xD well telson is more accurate la xD

Exception to Hemiscorpius lepturus, this particular scorp have cytotoxic venom instead of neurotoxic which can cause serious wounds and inflammations (somtimes the wounds will look like 3. degree burns with necrosis and blisters). These wounds are slow and difficult to heal. The effect of the venom is very similar to the bite of the Brown Recluse spider (Loxosceles reclusa). No antivenom is available for this scorpion.

Mealworms. Nope they did not come out, I separate some to Tofu Fa container.

they were initially in the blue container, i just put some in the tofufa container. And no unless my eye is mistaken..i did not spot them crawling out from my pic
