QUOTE(joshkyj @ Jul 12 2009, 01:30 PM) hey..Ryo..congrats for open a new scorpion thread...well...because of i'm bzing for my studies..hmm...i'll take some photo of my scorps..i hav some problems in keeping scorpions as there was always ants in my scorpion enclosure, surounding the uneaten food.any solution? U can try getting vaseline from pharmacy and apply a ring of it outside ur enclosure so the ants cant climb on itOr u can use ant powder which is most effective imo QUOTE(HyourinMaru @ Jul 12 2009, 01:32 PM) Nop they are not, male have longer chela female shorter chelaQUOTE(HyourinMaru @ Jul 12 2009, 01:52 PM) Frm wikipets,it stated that Mesobuthus martensii(Chinese Armortailed Scorpion) and Lychas mucronatus(Chinese Swimming Scorpion) can co-habitate wiv each other? Is it true? Wat do u think?http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/sho...ead.php?t=33740 QUOTE(K.Fai @ Jul 12 2009, 03:32 PM) There is a very sad news to tell today. Things happened... Juz make sure u ll be more careful when placing their container next timeMy centruroides margaritatus died... Every week, there is a woman come and clean up my house,my mom hired her. Early in the morning i had to wake up and let her clean up my room, After i washed up my self i wanted to go out and have my breakfast, i go in my room to take my wallet.when the moment i near the door i heard the sound something dropped onto the floor and bounced and then drop agian.i rushed inside my room, i saw she was taking up the tube look container.my CM was inside! It fell down from a 160cm high cupbrd! I take it up and see. 1 of its claw had broken due to the collision, i not sure its bcoz of it collided with the soil or bark or the wall of the container. The cm look weak and finally it died at about 11.15... Its my false to put it above the cupbrd but not inside the cupboard wif the other invert. Should i stop keeping the invert due to my carelessy? Imagine its a deathstalker or more potent bark scorp and the cap of the tube opened when drop and it get lost in ur house.... QUOTE(K.Fai @ Jul 12 2009, 06:06 PM) k juz recover from the sadness of losing the centruroides magaritatus. U bank in using western union or pay pal (Go google it if dunno)May i know wat is the shipping fee from us to malaysia?<juz wanna ask for knowning> and if we wan to buy a scorpion for dealer, wat method we use? Bank in? Btw, i am planing to buy another scorpion now~ Price i dunno but very expensive QUOTE(K.Fai @ Jul 12 2009, 06:45 PM) it is a quite fast and aggressive sp. Losing a scorp doesn't mean u muz buy a new one asapbut i think i can handle it for no touching it for sure i will put it INSIDE my cupbrd my aircone is now in 29'c its good for scorpion and oso for me to keep fit C.Vittatus i dun think suit u yet... Bark scorp have quite potent venom and fast, not to forget they are climber, the chance of it crawling on ur hand when u opening the container is higher than normal terrestrial species Stick to Heterometrus sp, dun rush when it comes to keeping scorp or tragedy will happen QUOTE(junshern222 @ Jul 12 2009, 06:51 PM) pretty sorry for your lost k.fai,i guess ryo gonna shoot me for this.anyway, dun worry about my part,as im too friend with ryo.lol Cheer la, accident do happen, no1 to blame in this casehmm, seems like it wasnt ur fault, but u gotto becareful next time,as they were much more valuable than how much the little one actually costed, imagine the availability of them in our country.please dont give up,everyone here experienced the pain before, how great the pain was actually how far u gonna proceed to the next step.lastly, tell yourself that the lost is showing you an excuse to buy a different scorpion species. For the bold part i dun agree with it Only when u have enuff experience and have done enuff research and consider alot of factor then u can buy other species but thats juz wat i think QUOTE(HyourinMaru @ Jul 12 2009, 07:13 PM) From wat i know, scorpions from temperate climates need to stimulate the season using the cooling period method which i included in page 1 but im not sure if we need it in our country cause i have not heard anyone using such method when breeding their scorp... Perhaps someone know more bout it |

Arr... Pretty much confirm its mites now
Juz leave it in the container, u can add substrate but bone dry coco fiber with a water dish inside if im nt mistaken When prolong usually the mites will dry of dehydration or drown in water dish But i prefer another method which is scrap them away using vaseline and cotton bud This post has been edited by RyoKenzaki: Jul 13 2009, 01:57 AM |

Swt surgery pulak, sound so serious
I suggest leave it now, if scrap later they get off on the substrate or floor or outside the tank susah a bit Use vaseline can stick them on it easily and drown them But be very careful not to apply on the booklung |

Usually they comes along with wild caught stuff
If u dun have any wild caught scorp i think it shld be safe They stick on ur scorp absorbing the water and nutrient from it Eventually ur scorp will die from dehydration+lost of nutrient and perhaps stress |

But still taking care of this one for a bit first, btw, for a water bowl.. is it really necessary? QUOTE(K.Fai @ Jul 13 2009, 09:04 PM) It breed!!!
