well have to wait my friends.. im still thinking about it..
update...
theres 8 splings on her back.. this is seriously a slow process.. bt it seems she gave birth to 2 at once.. 2 splings come out at the same time... one huge oval embryo and then split into 2, one droped to the floor/on her legs and one cling on to her

yup. in the wild the survival rate is really very small. not considering the ones that are killed in forest fire cause by slash and burn farming techniques like they still practice here in sarawak.

it is a good thing to have a lot of them born. just prey that you don;t have the survival rate like my first brood. less then 0.5% survival rate.

well, we can only help them, the rest of their survival is up to them. Isnt this is waht we all are doing? not just the hobby but conservation as well.. we are expanding to their wildlife and more and more forest will b cut down just at the cause of human beings. you never know how many of these sp are left in the wild.

oh how i hope that you have a nice dslr with a very good macro lens to capture the image.

it is really luck for you to have the mother giving birth in a position that is very good for documentation.

er... well i do have an dslr but the macro sucks.. especially when getting the close shot... need to buy a new lens but no money.. damnx. but luckly the mother gave birth on the corner so i dont need to zoom it that close. But if only i do have it.. can get better shot of the spling being born into our world... some of you guys have normal digital cam and it works better than my dslr.. damnx...

Added on July 29, 2009, 6:00 pmi've notice that the splings come out back 1st, then the body. there is a logic reason to it. when the body is out (i have witness it), the tiny legs will emerge and stick themself to the mother (her body, legs whatever they can get they feet on) then after few mins, they will start climbing to their mother's back. real slow.... but like i said, two splings came out at the same time.

i've asked about 5 person already and all give different answer lol.

the pic is really a tough one cos i have seen it myself the genital but it is also not clear.

male should be pointing upwards and females points downwards but this fellow have both points in both direction.

the only thing i see that is reasonable to do is put it with the new guy which is confirm a male and see if they mate. if they mate then it is a female if it doesn;t then it is a male.

it was quite hard for me to spread the hobby actually,at first thay were just like arachnidphobia,i took almost half year time to pull them into the scorpion community.hope this hobby could be developed well over here,as most of them are quite eager to learn, while interacting with the others in the forum.
since we are from seremban,we couldnt attend u guys event,we are too far perhaps,so we did had a small gathering here that night.
