Why no love for Marshall??

JVM series are freakin' awesome for metal as well..........

But of course, for a metal amp on the cheap...... Vox ADxl series...... hands down the best budget metal amp with tons of options.......

Just like I expected, no Mesa for you within that budget. And you haven't answered me whether you are in a band AND gigging. Where do you plan to put the amp, in your bedroom? Where do you live and what type of house? Apartment, semi-d, bungalow? Oh, since you are playing metal, what type of guitar and pickups are you using? Any pedal that you own and plan to own?

first of all no need to shoot so high on amps and what not...

Unless you really are making moolah, there is no point (IMHO) to have an amp more than 30W and 10" of speakers, screeching in your living room...

I've once mad a mistake of having a 150W dual 12" amp laying around my living room and guess what? I never dial the volume knob past 1 1/2...

For metal I would suggest a cheaper version of the Marshall, which is the solid state AVT series...unless ur going blues and jazz, then the Marshall would be more than enough for you to raise a few hundreds of eye brows...

But before people keep replying, how does your fav tone sound like and what sound are you looking for the tone??
