QUOTE(NXaqua @ Aug 2 2009, 09:39 AM) Hi tinkerbel, Noted the comment that for existing iPhone 3G customers will be given at least a RM500 rebate if they wish to upgrade to the iPhone 3GS. Any idea how it works, esp the nett emount required to pay at the end of the day? By the way,I bought the 8GB Iphone 3G under iValue RM100.00 for 12 mths contract from Maxis KB. Thanks. Was about to ask the same as well. Anyway I have post a question to Maxis via the online webpage form thing. Will wait for them to ring me instead of calling the call center and got passing around.

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Aug 3 2009, 05:45 PM) Hi peeps, The information U people been waiting for:- 1) The RM500 rebate is not something that's confirmed (details are still being finalised) hence it's not been officially announced. However, it's not really an upgrade but more of getting a 2nd unit with at least RM500 rebate and up to 50% off and most probably this is only applicable for those who signed up on iValue 3 & 4 plans [anyone who signed up for this plan can help me purchase an i3GS ] 2) As to the free calls; it should apply to one-way only; means the free minutes are from principal to supp only. Supp to principal is a different set of free minutes. 3) The 333 minutes that come with the iValue plans aren't exactly FREE cause it's what U've oredi paid hence it's not part of the Principal-Supp free call minutes I hope this clears the air for all. Sad news instead, on the option to get 2nd unit instead of the real trade-in. How am I going to dispose off the current 3G Maxis phone if the option is to get a 2nd unit. My finance minister might used this as the reason to barbecue me or skin me alive... wahahahahahahahah...

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Aug 4 2009, 10:30 AM) @igeu69, U could alwiz 'dispose' the i3G at Garage Sales. That's where I disposed mine and got a much better price than what Maxis was offering on the Trade-In. Thanks Tinkerbel, on the info given Was so incline to depends on Maxis earlier as I felt that could be much easier. Will try to take some snapshot of the phone and post that up. Luckily I still got the entire set in good condition, with the original box and printout .
