over here in australia, there is no such thing as free Wi-Fi in shopping malls, et cetera.

internet is extremely serious business here. even to surf in my own university, i have to pay (after i exceed a small quota allocated each semester)

hence, the minute, you leave the house, you are reliant on your network's connection 100%

doubt that i have heard of any networks in australia (which coincidentally all offers the iPhone) offer such a service to send such text messages.

no need periodic sms la, just one is enough to say today is a new month. even Digi give you an sms after every call to let you know how much was the last call and your balance

You can't add-on iData plans to your existing plans.  If you want to add on existing data plans, you have to go for the new plans which were introduced by Maxis recently:

RM58 for 500MB p/month
RM78 for 1.5GB p/month
RM88 for 3GB p/month

But what wasn't his question.  I believe jon_jai oredi has an iPhone and has no intentions of getting another one.  He just wants to know if he can subscribe to a data package to be used with his existing iPhone; hence those are the only plans available.

Your RM100 you pay monthly includes:-
# 333 minutes of free local calls
# 500mb of data usage
# 100 SMS
# 10 MMS

Anything exceeding the above, you'll be charged @ RM0.15 p/minute for voice calls and RM0.10 p/SMS.
