@intothefantasy,
No U don't get any notification to let U know u've exceeded ur plans' usage.
*
maxis should somehow sent out periodic text messages that states the current usage for the day, or week or when u are at 50% 75% and 85% ...

but no ... because they want to charge you for the excess ...

i called them up the other day, they have no access to the current usage on their system, so i asked them if you have no view of my current usage how will the system know when to start charging me for excess ... the fella cannot answer, i thanked him and hanged up ...

LOL. i forgot mention a very important piece of information.

over here in australia, there is no such thing as free Wi-Fi in shopping malls, et cetera.

internet is extremely serious business here. even to surf in my own university, i have to pay (after i exceed a small quota allocated each semester)

hence, the minute, you leave the house, you are reliant on your network's connection 100%

maxis is not alone i suppose.

doubt that i have heard of any networks in australia (which coincidentally all offers the iPhone) offer such a service to send such text messages.
*
yeah i agree that internet is serious business there, as if you are promised 1MB, you are assured of 1MB continous connection ...

no need periodic sms la, just one is enough to say today is a new month. even Digi give you an sms after every call to let you know how much was the last call and your balance
*
yeap, and digi sends out text if for ur calls usage as well rite, if i am not wrong ...

or at least through the #100* service or online usage check ...

aihhh

but have been with maxis for almost 9 years ...

i putting my  co. exchange to "push"

let's see how bad it is gonna to be biggrin.gif compare to my BB data utilization
*
i cant let it push, unless i am home, or away from desk, so i just check it manually, as when iiam in front of my comp, emails coming both sides, kinda useless, easier to reply on comp ...

@jon_jai,
You can't add-on iData plans to your existing plans.  If you want to add on existing data plans, you have to go for the new plans which were introduced by Maxis recently:

RM58 for 500MB p/month
RM78 for 1.5GB p/month
RM88 for 3GB p/month
*
but opting for these additional plans might as well u upgrade ur entire plan ... but then you wated money on the price you paid for the iphone as that price might be reduced quite a lot if would have chose a higher plan when u bought the iphone ...

@earl-ku,
But what wasn't his question.  I believe jon_jai oredi has an iPhone and has no intentions of getting another one.  He just wants to know if he can subscribe to a data package to be used with his existing iPhone; hence those are the only plans available.

@hlsp7a,
Your RM100 you pay monthly includes:-
# 333 minutes of free local calls
# 500mb of data usage
# 100 SMS
# 10 MMS

Anything exceeding the above, you'll be charged @ RM0.15 p/minute for voice calls and RM0.10 p/SMS.

ahh i see - wokay wokay
