i have 1 question regarding the Hotlink free 500MB data, how does Maxis credit the value?
i mean like postpaid they calculate the total amount u use at the end of the month on the bill then minus of the charges of it
but on prepaid side, how does it actually count, since prepaid is pay before u use, so if data charges normally also pay when you use.

Not true. That iData is of better value compared iValue 1. If u take iValue 1 at RM100 + RM8 (for 500 sms) = RM108 x 12 months = RM1,296. Add a 32Gb iPhone at RM2290. Total is RM3,586.
Compare that with Value50 + iData 2 = RM100 x 12 months = RM1,200. Add iPhone 32Gb at RM2590. Total is RM3,790.
From the above. You can see that you'll be paying RM204 more if you got with the iData 2 plan.

Hi guys,I'm thought of getting the prepaid plan for the 3Gs phone, but the problem is that I want to keep my postpaid number when I've bought the 3Gs phone. I understand that we need to buy a new prepaid pack in order to go for the prepaid plan. So can anyone tell me how to keep this postpaid number and at the same time get this prepaid plan for RM24990 for the 16GB 3Gs phone.

The Iphone 3GS from Maxis would be unlocked unit, therefore, you can slot in any carrier sim card and start using. You can continue using your postpaid number, as for your prepaid card, it is up to you, keep in a drawer or once in a while use the 500MB data every month.

@ps360
hmm, but dun forget iValue RM100 call rate is RM0.15 (to all network) while Value Plus is 0.12 (to Maxis) and also under iValue Plan, each sms will charge u RM0.10 compare to Value plus RM0.05
all i should say depending on ur behavior whether u are more on making calls& SMS or surfing web?

any matters concerning registration and booking shall be discussed hereplease be considerate as moderator davidgary73 is having a tough time moving all of your posts every single time posts like that pops up. this thread is solely for discussion on rate plans and recommendations. this is a final reminder. @crazy25kidyes. your prepaid line must be active to receive the 500mb data bundle every month. read up the T&C provided on the first page alright? @Mr. Kongno more one-liners like that. if you really want to post, more constructive comments/opinions is appreciated. i believed you have been warned previously. QUOTE(eekwan7 @ Jul 17 2009, 05:34 PM) so that means we need to buy a new hotlink prepaid card ourselves or buy it on the day taking i3GS? you can either get a new one or one which you're using currently or previously owned, as long as it's still active.

QUOTE(Mr Kong @ Jul 17 2009, 05:25 PM) wahlao then no need idata d la? An iPhone without a data plan is like a crippled iPhone . Summary, 3 options: Option A: iValue Plans = included x minutes, included x MB data, does not include SMS/MMS/IDD or anything else other than local voice. Option B: Value Plans + iData Plans = included RMx for all services (voice, SMS/MMS/IDD and more) and includes x MB data Option C: Prepaid Hotlink Pack = included some credit (RM5), and includes 500MB every month for 12 months. Hope this helps.
