Hey guys... Let say if I lost my iPhone which is still in contract of 24 months (iValue1) with Maxis, can I still use the iValue plan services using other phone?

Will Maxis request me to pay the penalty if they detect that Im not using iPhone anymore?

Actually it would do you good even when it is shown that the unit is fully charged to continue charging and this is called trickle charge, to allow for longer battery sustainability.

I am a very big fan of apple products.. I have been using many including macbook, airport express, etc. I got my iPhone last September and it has had problem until now. It started with microphone issue where the other side cannot hear me clearly but i can hear them clear. So I try to use hands-free and it solves the problem for a few months until I have time to visit Maxis centre. I got my iPhone replaced just yesterday (I sent it 5 days ago) and when I turn it on today, the home button is not working at all. I haven't even test if my hands-free work with this new phone.

One more thing, I was assured the replacement phone is brand new and I can check the manufacturing date. So I did and found out it was manufactured on ninth week on 2010, but it is also stamped as refurbished set.

Is there something going on there that I missed? Any experience or info from fellow reader?

Why didn't you purchase from local telcos? They cover warranties, mate.

I did, I bought it from Maxis. I had to convert from Celcom to Maxis just to make sure I had my warranty. Maxis said that if I use their phone on other operator, warranty void. So I will stay for one year.

r u sure on such thing? tis is totally untrue...if the warranty void if change telco..then manyppl sure will be furious...and the warranty only covers the phone..not their service..they have no right to tie down the customer unless they use the data plans

That is what Maxis technical person told me up front when handing me the iPhone. I went to the nearest Machines store and chat with the sales guys. 2 of them were using iPhone and they said they know that but don't care much since iPhone is quite solid. They even drop their iPhone on the sales desk in front of me from about 5 cm height.

Overall, I didn't dare to put other telco's SIM card into my iPhone. I didn't want to take the risk and true enough, I have had 2 incidents with my iPhone. Maxis said they replaced new iPhone for me but came out broken on first use. Even confirmed refurbished set after I checked the serial number.

I have no doubt Apple product is good, only the Malaysia service is fu*king useless. And I am the unlucky person to receive the defect unit out from the sealed box.

How could they sell you a refurbished unit? You should get a new one right?

it's a known fact that all replacement iPhones are refurbished sets. however, those with Maxis should have conveyed this information to the customer.
