@hisoKHALID,
It is still being finalised by Maxis. I'm surprised the Star actually published it. As soon as it's been confirmed, I think Maxis will be making the announcements but I haven't heard of any trade-in schemes for now. |

@derlin,
U mean Maxis sold U the i3GS without U bringing ur principal line owner?! Now that's weird because when I spoke with them several times they said it can't be done and that the line owner needs to be present; because contracts need to be signed and that can't be signed on behalf of the line owner. @deepan84, Could the other RM500 be pre/advanced payment for something? Check ur bill. |

@derlin,
I spoke and have asked the CS and the answer has always been cannot. The reason as I've mentioned is because a contract needs to be signed and the contract can't be signed by YOU even if you've been authorised. I told the Maxis fella I'm getting the iPhone on behalf of my brother who happens to be in AU but she told me it can't be done. |

@tskhang,
The iData 1/2/3 phone plans are add-on plans and if U purchase iData 2/3 plans U will get some sort of subsidy off the i3GS. Assuming U don't register for the iData plans, when U want to subscribe U will need to either subscribe to the RM5, RM8 or RM99 plans until Maxis introduces other plans. PS: Assuming I now want to subscribe to iData 2, Maxis won't allow me to do that because I just don't qualify. |

@tskhang,
Hmm.. that could be something new but it doesn't make sense to me because the last I checked, the iData plans are only applicable for the iPhone. So what you're saying is that I can pay for the phone (full price) and still sign on to iData plans except I don't have a certain contract period. This is new information but most people wouldn't do that lah. For me, my cousin from Germany wanted a set and since I'm oredi on iData 3, I figured I'll save RM500 locking myself on a 12 month plan. |

@tskhang,
I've just checked the Maxis website but I can't find the information U provided. If Maxis hasn't changed their T&C, I'm quite sure the iData plans cannot be separately added on to. @bonzaimy, No. At the time being, there are NO GPRS plans for prepaid users though it's in the pipe line. @teikwing,
In that case, since it's been officially announced, those who doesn't wish to lock themselves in, can go ahead and purchase those iData plans without the contract @tskhang, It looks like the CS was right |

@derlin,
U could always try cause ah well... as U said, Malaysia Boleh! @teikwing, I changed my mind and will be signing on the iData 2, 12 month contract instead. I don't see a reason Y I shouldn't benefit from the RM400 discount [to purchase the i3GS] when I'm oredi going to be paying this GPRS service for the next 12 months *smiles* Only problem now is I've to wait till stocks are made available to me |

Hi All,
I don't believe Maxis will cease purchase of the "prepaid" units; I believe they're not taking in pre-orders for those because they wish to give priority to their 'loyal' customers first. Once this issue of stock has been resolved, I'm sure U can just walk in and buy one through the 'prepaid' method |

@NekoRacing,
It beats me Y U would want to sign on to the iValue plans. Everyone knows the iValue plans aren't "great" plans, and that they're $-making plans. You're better off with a Value Plus sign + iData plan instead [I read users can now subscribe to the iData]. @bonzaimy, The 500MB has always been on the plan; it didn't just start yesterday. |

@he-sham,
No there will be no SMS or information from Maxis once u have used up ur 500MB data. It'll just start to charge U. It's best if U checked ur usage once in a while via Settings/Usage. The 500MB will reset depending on ur bill cycle; for example if it was activated on the 20th of the month, it will reset every 19th. |

@doomx,
Most of the time there'll be some charges for value added services; itemised billing and taxes too. Not to mention, SMSes charges. |

@doomx,
It depends on what kind of value added services U've subscribed too. Itemised billing is RM3 if I ain't mistaken. Also, tax is 5% and well.... SMS charges are depending on how many SMSes U send lah. |

@jin1119,
If ur upgrading ur plan it might be possible to waive off any surcharges but by swapping from iValue1 to iData 2, it means ur downgrading ur plan. I don't think Maxis will allow it but U could always try. |

@boringpig,
3GB is capped for both the 3GB plan & the Unlimited data plan. Anything over and above 3GB, U will be charged. |

@boringpig,
My sources keeps telling me it's capped at 3GB. I too did ask him, how then would Maxis know if and when we've exceeded the 3GB cap when our limit is reset to 0; he couldn't give me an answer but he told me it's capped at 3GB. Ah well.. since you've downloaded 3.6GB data and wasn't charged extra then it's good. Btw what on earth are U downloading?! @fangcheng, U can make the change when U make collection of ur iPhone. |

@fangcheng,
Customers porting in from other telcos can only sign 12 months contract. As such, if ur porting over from DiGi, U aren't able to sign a 24 month contract. |

@carolcwf,
Yes it definitely can be an alternative esp if you travel quite a bit but RM99 p/month for the next 24 months is quite a lot of $. As is it, during PC Fair, Maxis's USB modem's were cheaper than RM99. The RM900 U save on the i3GS may not be so worth it IMO. |
