Hello cod4 players, Im bliss, one of the founder of www.espgl.com and i'm here to introduce and educate all cod4 players in malaysia about this league.

It is quite lengthy, but i guarantee that it's worth it. Make sure you start contacting me or sundae if you want to be part of this league because it is ONLY starting effectively on August, so that you will know where you'll stand in Malaysia smile.gif

Remember that the cash will grow too! So join the league now while it's much harder to do so after a few compy's and tournaments have passed.

Why is this point system league created for?

1. To finally officiate Malaysia’s best with the other rankings.

2. To keep the clans to have an aim through the entire year and not lose focus. ESPGL will have a monthly competition as well to keep the points going up every month and not getting the players to lose focus and to keep practicing.

3. To promote clan loyalty and not have the members swapping around as they like. Since the cash will be given to the clan leader to split among the team, clan members will think twice whether they would want to buckle up or sit there and not play at all, to stay in the clan or to continue swapping.

4. There will be a ‘Stash Box’. This Stash box is basically a pool of money that comes from ESPGL and it will be accumulated for one year long. We will not reveal a single source of detail of how the money come about unless a particular company sponsors and they wished to be known as part of the contributor, we will announce it. You can find this stash box at the front page of www.espgl.com, below the cbox. We will update it from month to month.

5. It is not an obligatory for the clan leader to split to every member there is in the clan. Like for example, if a member were to enter the clan half way through the league and the clan decided that he is not contributing much to the clan after 3 months, the council understands if he isn’t getting part of the cash prize.

6. We are giving points for attendance because this is to promote every clan to send their teams to join every competition possible and this contributes a lot to the community and the competition spirit.

Major Tournament

This depends on how famous the event and how large the scale is. WGT is under Major tournament, ACC is under Major tournament even though it's online but it covers the entire Asia. The terms and condition for a competition to enter this category has to be :-

-It has its own proper venue, cybercafé doesn’t count
-Large scale of popularity
-If the scale covers bigger than just Malaysia it is still considered in this category (ACC in this case)
-It is ESPGL recognized

Attendance : 5 points

1st : 40 points

2nd : 35 points

3rd : 30 points

4th : 25 points

5th : 10 points

6th : 10 points

7th : 10 points

8th : 10 points

Lan tournaments

This covers ALL cybercafé tournament and is LAN. Blitzone tournament and Tbun tournament is under this category. The terms and condition for a competition to enter this category has to be :-

-Held in a cybercafé, college or university *(varies from popularity as well)
- ESPGL recognized

Attendance : 5 points

1st : 20 points

2nd : 18 points

3rd : 16 points

4th : 14 points

5th : 10 points

6th : 10 points

7th : 10 points

8th : 10 points

Single tournaments (FFA or MAA)

-This covers any tournament that involves only a person to participate.
-ESPGL recognized

Attendance : 1 point

1st : 5 points

2nd : 3 points

3rd : 1 point

Online tournaments (only local)

-This covers any LOCAL online tournaments.
-ESPGL recongnized

Attendance : 3 points

1st : 15 points

2nd : 13 points

3rd : 11 points

4th : 9 points

5th : 5 points

6th : 5 points

7th : 5 points

8th : 5 points

The points stack as a clan but it only stacks up to 2 teams, that means if SWL pew and aBuse win 1st and 2nd in major tournaments, their total points would be 40 + 35 + 10(attendance) = 85 points will be added to the their clan. If 4 teams are sent to play to attend major tournaments, and all 4 gets 3rd 4th 7th and 8th, the system addition will work like this, 20 points for 2 teams attendance, and the 2 highest points will be taken which is 3rd = 30points and 4th = 25 points and 2 teams attendance = 10 points. The total is then 30+25+10=65 points. The other 2 teams will be ignored because as mentioned, 2 teams is the limit.

Terms and Condition

1. Clans that are in the clan hall of ESPGL.com will only be part of this league.

2. This league only applies to Malaysia. Only Clan members that are STAYING in Malaysia are allowed to join, the nationality does NOT matter. Remember this is to ensure that this is a league meant for Malaysia, if you are staying in another country and you come down here to play, the league does not apply to your clan. ACC season 2 will also only be applied to Malaysian Clans.

3. Remember once again that tournaments that are ONLY ESPGL recognized will have their points recorded.

4. ESPGL.com will put the category of the competition at the "event" tab along with "ESPGL recognized" along with what category it lies in the competition details.

5. 2 Teams is the limit to obtain points for their clan. (There is an example right above the T&C)

6. Clans that are new and want to be part of the league will have to consult ESPGL's council. You can contact us via e-mail (daryl.synergy@hotmail.com) or add us in xfire : tustsegua / sundaeee

7. By the end of the league( it last for a year), the total cash prize from the 'stash box' will be split from 1st to 8th placing accordingly :

1st 30%

2nd 20%

3rd 15%

4th 12%

5th 8%

6th 6%

7th 5%

8th 4%

So if for example the stash box accumulated Rm10,000 by the end of the year the split will go :

1st Rm3,000

2nd Rm2,000

3rd Rm1,500

4th Rm1,200

5th Rm800

6th Rm600

7th Rm500

8th Rm400

6. New clans can join the league at any point of the time, but remember that you will start from 0, the later you come in, the harder it is for you to strive for No.1.

7. After a year passed and the Ranking is finalized, the points will reset and start from 0 all over again,
BUT at the next year, the top 8 will have a head start of :

1st : 80 points
2nd: 70 points
3rd: 60 points
4th : 50 points
5th : 40 points
6th : 30 points
7th : 20 points
8th : 10 point

And this will work year after year, If SWL got No.1 for this year and let’s say FFF got No.1 the next year, FFF will then start with the 80 points head start instead the year after next. This is to defend and to also be fair for clans that practiced so hard, win hard and travel from a long way to get their placing.

8. The ‘Stash box’ will also reset and starts accumulating all over again, and this time it will definitely roll bigger!

This PSL will start effectively from Cod4's 'The Revival' 5 v 5 competition, and always look out for announcement made by www.ESPGL.com whether other cod4 competitions are part of it or not. You can also check the competition details and look out for "ESPGL recognized" to know whether it's under the league.

We would LOVE to make a way bigger league to rank Asia's best top 8 clans, but as of now, this is very new and ESPGL dare not make such an attempt and to try it with a country first, starting from Malaysia. Do understand that we have extremely limited man power and cash flow to sustain a point system league that is as huge as the entire Asia so we're going to try with a country first.

hey, tried to talk to you over xfire but apparently we're both never around when the other is around

anyway, atm JEDI is basically a Singapore-Malaysian hybrid, and our singaporean guys have a loooong track record of coming down to Malaysia to take part in malaysian compies, so much so I hope that the rest of the malaysian clans do consider us basically part of their community

To penalize my Malaysian guys to be unable to join this system just because we are considered not "Malaysian" is somewhat unfair to them, and it is an affront when you tell me "i dont think it's fair for you guys to keep travelling down here for every match there is to keep up your points". If we make it for a tournament then so be it, if we don't then we're not gonna QQ over not being able to earn points, heh.

hope you consider this, thanks

i've already explained to you on xfire but just for other clans from other countries to know, what aBc can do is either actually getting himself and the other guy from Singapore to stay in malaysia for one a good whole year just for this PSL, or just simply deploy JEDI team in malaysia and get 2 residence here to follow up with your other 3 just for the PSL's sake.

Because if i'm going to ask all the malaysia's team to vote whether they don't mind having team JEDI that is based from singapore to participate the PSL, you would already know the answer and if you were in my shoes, would you want to still allow team JEDI to participate?

I cannot hold the weight between your 3 members feeling unfair compared to the entire community of Malaysia feeling unfair. I hope you can seriously consider getting just 2 more members from here just to get your 3 boys being part of this.

I don't mind, JEDI should be allowed to participate imo. That's if they can handle coming down here monthly tongue.gif

Nah, even if we don't decide to come down monthly, we're not going to be complaining about not being able to get points as often as the others. We just want to be a part of this league.
