SanDisk and PalmOne..both at RM 399...SanDisk works with Zire 71 (and un-officaly for Tungsten|E , Tungsten|T1 and Tungsten T|T2) , and as for the Palm1 card , it works for Tungsten T5,T3,E2 and Zire 72 (someone said it works for treo 650...(CDMA)

Prasys: I looked up treo 270 from palmone. It seems that even they don't sell it anymore. Would the shops in Low Yat plaza still keep such an old model?

Are there any other models with an extension slot or higher memory? The Treo 270 has only 16MB

I did think of 02 xphone which is priced at RM999. However if I'm not mistaken it's a PPC. I more keen to try out palm as it seems that there are more medical related applications in the Palm format.

I heard about ASUS MYPAL A730W..comes with built in WIFI,1.3 megapixels camera,large screen 3.7" and look very nice...how much is it haa???

I'm a A730 user. All I have to say is DON'T buy it.

Reasons? I'll just give u one.

1) Battery Life. The battery life is horrible. Basically you can run the processor in 3 different modes

i) Turbo
ii) Standard
iii) Power Saving.

Well, if u run it at Turbo mode, I'm pretty sure u'll see the power warning sign in less than 1 hr of usage.

Power Saving mode is so slow, might as well don't offer it. So u're basically left with Standard mode which is "OK" for normal usage.

Another deterrent is the Support. The local distributor(the one in SS14, PJ), is absolutely hopeless. My unit came with a faulty battery. When I brought it back, they asked me this :

1) Why did u buy this PDA? I thought most people buy Pocket PC phones already.

That's not the worst, this is...leave your PDA here and we'll send it to Penang to have it repaired for u. Can u imagine this? You buy a new PDA and they asked u to leave it there for repair. Screw them.

All I can say is, forget about Asus PDA. You give them business and they give u shit.

Ah, the 1.3MP camera is just as hopeless. Why u ask? To launch the camera takes more than 20 secs. The only consolation is that the picture quality is much better than the ones taken by the O2 mini but still fall short of the Nokia camera phones (e.g 7610, don't even compare with 6630).

Lastly, there is NO upgrade to Windows Mobile 5.

Oh well, I guess I need to rant. Never again I'll buy another ASUS PDA. If u're looking for a VGA pocket PC, get Dell X50v. Yes, this one can be upgraded to WM5

Don't get the Asus A730/W.. u'll be glad u didn't.

Not very sure about HP3715 but it does look like it has loads of RAM to spare.

Give VGA PPCs running on true VGA a try.. once u've seen it, its hard to go back to QVGA PPCs.
