The stock issue is quite ridiculous. But Maxis' sales reps are even worse sleep.gif I signed up for the phone and placed my (NON REFUNDABLE) downpayment weeks ago under the pretense and promise that I'd get it in 2 days.

Since then I've checked every 2 days and still no phone. Now everyone is saying that it'll be quite awhile more before they get stock.

Sigh.

I actually would have been ok with the stock issue. I'm more upset with the sales reps that have absolutely no regard for something as simple as truth. These guys would rather make a quick buck off you than avoid telling a lie.

Keep in mind I'm still phone-less because of this and I can't be bothered buying a new/diff one because they've got my money!!!! Finally given in and borrowed a crappy spare from a friend while those idiots dilly-dally and spout rubbish upon every enquiry.

I'm facing the exact situation like you with the staff from Machines 1U, except I'm still using my phone. Few days ago, I called them and one of the staff had asked me to come collect at the very early morning. He was rather suspicious and skeptical when he said it, probably he had faced enough complaints from customers and do not want to get one from me. Now, having said that, I am in serious doubt whether my unit will be reserved once it arrives when a dubious pedophile is working inside Machines 1U. He could give it away. The other staff members had told me countless times to wait for their calls, but I've waited long enough. Because I'm leaving on the 16th of August and will be back in the country on 27th, I cannot bear to wait that long. I told my predicament to one of the member of staff, he told me he'll call Maxis and took down my details and he'll call me what the updates are. I waited for their call for a few days. At the end, it had to be me to initiate the call. This may not be a bid deal since it's just a game of who calls who, but consumers would start questioning the staffs' efficiency and trust.

Since 16th to 27th is pretty long, I was hoping for a legal paperwork signed by both parties to assure that my units will be reserved until I come back like I once did in the UK. I don't trust the staff in Machines 1U. I may need to consult my parent's lawyer for advice.

Because I'll be flying on the latest A380, I wanted to experience taking photos inside the plane with my i3GS. Without it makes me so bloody mad.

I know what you mean.

I told the guy that my phone had died and I was thinking of getting the iphone, but because of work and some personal matters I need to get sorted, I need one quite urgently. Then the guy goes and blatantly lies, telling me I'll get it in a couple days. At this point I've given up hope of getting it anytime soon.

Most interesting is the fact that they "can't guarantee" when I'll get my phone because "black is more popular". When I said I'd take any phone they had in any colour, they said I'd have to go over and make the switch, but there are other people ahead of me in the white queue.

I don't see why Maxis can't update their outlets, or why their outlets can't be bothered informing people who've put down a significant amount of money for an imaginary phone. Lesser companies would have been called scammers by now.
