Finally, I put-down RM200 at the Maxis Centre at Miri, Sarawak after standing at the side-lines thus far hoping that the powers-that-be would release the watergates and a flood of iphone's would drown the market and I could readily purchase one out-right.

The lady I spoke to was frank enough to tell me, "from 30 days" means not exactly 30 days.

I quizzed her about the nature of the distribution of units once a new batch arrives, she admitted that it was handled in the most peculiar of fashion whereby only dozens of units are distributed evenly to the all relevant outlets. She further explained that this explains why some people who have booked earlier still aren't haven't gotten their hands on the iphone 3GS.
