Then should maxis put a column for existing iphone user to tick so that they can wait longer than the 1st timers? Everyone pays the same amount, so everyone should b treated the same way (well dont need to say that u havent received your iphone yet even though you were one of the earliest few, like i said many times, it's down to luck). Whether or not you are using iphone now anot, it does not matter. |

@pop_enygma,
If U needed the phone badly U should have placed an order for it much earlier. Admittedly, I've oredi used the i3GS hence I'm not as excited as most of U here but I'm still waiting for a replacement unit since I gave mine up to my cousin. Anyhow, news just got in that my i3GS is ready for collection |

So lets say ur buying groceries right, you paid for it, and lets say there are these few people came in after you, paid for the same thing, the grocer gave it to them instead , and said you take yours next month, its ok right?Everyone pays the same amount, so everyone should b treated the same way (well dont need to say that u havent received your iphone yet even though you were one of the earliest few, like i said many times, it's down to luck). just come back from maxis centre...what i think is maxis is trying hard to make more people to tied contract with them...suxx!
i just booked at 3 august via hotlink without need to pay deposit aka deposit-less n staff said 18th maybe can collect.today i went to maxis to try my luck but the problem appear by maxis self.the staff told to me who has prebook via hotlink can't purchase because maxis closed hotlink prebookers , but my name was in the list!...he ask me to book again n must pay 200 deposit n must tied contract n i answer i want use it at oversea , so i ask why maxis closed their hotlink purchase...he said don't know...this is from maxis KL...n i ask again when can i buy via hotlink he said after clear all contract buyer, maybe 1 month from now...arghh!! n china staff said to me...klo saya ada barang sy pn mau jual ...kita bukan bodo punya....hahahaha. but maxis bole tahan la drp at&t...who has lock their unit to their telco.but today is very bored with maxis services , so angry with maxis services n monopoly. @vanimon,
Er. U get delivery services too?! hMm.. now that certainly ain't too bad. Anyhow, I wanna do a walk-in cause wanna go check out the 13" MBP to see if it's too small for my liking; need a new MBP @vectorian, Thanks! I think I am well enough but muAHahAHhahAHah for the sake of everyone there, I'll go in only tomorrow lah @Iroci, I did ask Machines if I could convert my original iData 3 plan to Prepaid and upon checking he told me it's possible; just make sure I go purchase and register a prepaid SIM before I go collect the i3GS from them. Don't know how come it's possible but perhaps they don't care what plan you're signing up with as long as a prebooking's been made This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Aug 20 2009, 05:12 PM |

@Iroci,
I asked only because when I made the prebooking for my i3GS I booked it under the iData 3 plan. After having used the phone for 1+ month, I'm beginning to wonder if RM99 Unlimited Access is too much hence am deciding if I should scale down and go for iData 2 instead. I also considered the Prepaid option cause I'm changing jobs and have no idea what's going to take place in the next few months hence am not too keen to sign on a 12 month plan for now. Anyhow, as mentioned earlier, Machines said it's okie for me to change plans since Maxis hasn't activated by iData 3 plan |

QUOTE(Iroci @ Aug 20 2009, 05:24 PM) @tinkerbel If i'm not mistaken, an agent will earn comission if they get customers to sign contract, not to mention Maxis also earns alot more from contract users. This is why they're trying to push people in taking contract.i hope u succes in trying to convert ur plan...but what i think now is maxis take this chance ( when i3gs is Hot~ ) to make people tied contract with their telco...hmm so i just patient from now to purchase it when it possible...sorry maxis i not interested with ur contract plan coz i use iphone in ove c aka other GSM telco. lets hope Celcom or DiGi will offer their best in next gen apple devices....hokhokhok When asked about prepaid plan they always give the same BS, "worldwide iphone 3gs shortage". Anyway i already got confirmation from both email and phone that they will allow walk-in purchase via prepaid plan starting next month, exact date still unsure, they say they will inform customers, but i doubt it. But lets hope its true *crosses finger*. |

@seanwe87,
U aren't allowed to purchase the i3GS off the racks; the only way to do it is to purchase it via the Hotlink prepaid way; in which U will need to purchase a Hotlink prepaid SIM. |
