LOL what a funny thing to say, ive been very patient and keep calling them and keep going to the shop since 2 weeks ago, I was'nt mad until recently when all they can say is "I don't know" that's the last straw. Maxis advised me to wait until tomorrow, if they still don't call, I can request to change collection center

It really depends on where you prebooked. Some ppl like me got it during launch day, some ppl din get anything on launch day. Some ppl got it now, some ppl still waiting. Just wait patiently while the stock is being transported around.
All I can say is i'm hearing less complaints from the 1st batch prebookers here about not getting their iphone. Majority have got theirs and are probably playing their brand new iphone now.

2nd batch prebookers, your time is probably just around the corner

Yeah, agree with you. I've been passively reading about everyone, well almost everyone, flaring up about not getting their units, and i so totally understand your frustration with how Maxis is handling it etc and how you feel cheated etc because of the deposit.

And here's the thing, we all know it by now and there's not ONE thing we can change except to keep calling, and hoping and praying ... oh and harassing till we get it. So ... I for one liked what tinkerbell said in another thread about it just ... in the end, it's just a phone. I've still got my SE z610i that I'm still thrilled to bits with.

I totally understand your frustration. If any shop sells their iphone stock to walk-in customer when they still have prebookers on their list, i dun understand the reason they do it since they still get the money in the end from prebookers. If they really do that, I can say it's not ethical watsoever. So my reason for them selling to walk-in customers is they don't have anyone on waiting list. Remember not every maxis centres are having pages of waiting list. Only places like klcc, mv, one u, well u get the idea. So you cannot blame them for selling to walk-in customers when they have extra stock. well u can blame maxis for not properly distributing the stock. But probably maxis has some terms whereby each store must b allocated by a minimum number of iphone. But who would have guessed some store has more than the others. All I can say is it's down to luck. No one would have imagined they would still have to wait till now even though they had made their bookings from maxis centre klcc where the main head quarter is located.

but what about my losses? I had to call the store so many times, I wasted my time, money and fuel going to the shop? these need to be compensated, if they honored their vow, which is delivering the phones on 1st august, I need not have to do all those

sorry to ask, how u guyz know tmr is the date 2nd batch stock arriving?

That's wat maxis claimed but they din guarantee that every1 who prebooked will get it. So lets just hope from the 18th onwards is when maxis get their stock right to deliver to those who prebooked.
I myself who booked on 31st of July is still waiting.

Suggest u check with those Maxis centres or MEP or APR, survey and see which of them has the shortest prebook list. U'll probably get a higher chance to get ur 3gs sooner.

u can blame maxis all day long bcoz it was indeed their fault. Having said tat, u should have heeded their advice to wait. Remember no one asks u to constantly call and pay them visits. It's ur choice. Jeez, it's just a phone at the end of the day tat we r talking about. So much trouble and fuss?

HAha, this is coming from a person who got it early, so u would'nt understand, it is only a phone, Yes, but the principal of it, the injustice, the unfair treatment is in question here. If you read my earlier posts, and some of the other unfortunate forumers', its not the waiting that's in question. Its how maxis is handling the situation, its the unfairness of distribution. When we booked, if we knew that some MEPs are going to be having lower priority than the other, then we would'nt have chosen the MEP in the first place. Maxis should've disclosed during the online booking that the MEPs that we're choosing is going to have a lower priority for stock disbursement. We cannot allow this to continue on iPhone 4.0, 5.0 etc.. We as a consumer have rights, we have our right to get whatever we buy when we want it, and maxis being the people that gave us the option to choose when we get our products is at fault. If this is allowed, then Malaysian consumers are forever going to be victimized.

We are in Malaysia so this is of course being allowed. If this happens in a developed country we will see Maxis being asked to face the tribunal court.

We are doing things the Malaysia way =)
