they did not really say 30 cannot

if not mistaken it was like that even before the 30 came out so i thought that they nvr update

just wan to check if anyone hav subscribed to idata 2 plan wif the 30 plan

if cannot then may as well just go for ivalue 1

in the end still pay RM100 a mth and still hav 500mb data
*
Well if that is the case, post an update here if it's a success. smile.gif

before that, i just ask the promoter outside there, saying that i book on 24th aug and when can get. he said at least 1 more week. i ask again at the counter and they check thru the comp biggrin.gif

I want to ask, if I choose prepaid plan, they will entertain the contract or value plan customers first right? then after all settle only my turn. is that true?
*
Before they allows outright sell of Iphones, they will have to cater to demands arising from new or existing contract customers. So priority wise, contract customers first. On the other hand, although Maxis offer for outright purchases remains closed, some forumers have been getting Iphone 3gs through selected MEPs. If you want to know which MEPs are offering outright purchases, you should search 10 pages back. smile.gif

Guys if you want to look for a realiable source of information regarding your bookings, please get it from Maxis Center and not from Maxis call center. Maxis seems to have outsourced their customer service department to a company and employees of that company have no idea on what is going on with your iPhone booking. smile.gif

if i change my number to maxis a month ago stil count as mnp?

If you are currently under Maxis, you are not counted as MNP. MNP here refers to that; you are currently under other telecommunication and wish to port to Maxis. smile.gif

yeah, RM2390 is reasonable, imo. a brand new outright purchase set from maxis is RM2490. If you like it, and the unit is in good condition, then why not?
*
Yup, plus the fact that you don't have to wait a month to get iPhone smile.gif

I booked on the 7th and I will go and collect from Sunway Pyramid on 7th October. If they give me any further reasons, I will smack their face one by one. When they try to sell their product, they made a verbal agreement with me that I will be able to collect my phone in 30 days latest and if they inform me on the delay of 45 days, I will void the contract and ask for a refund. No point waiting for a phone that makes you frustrated.

QUOTE(Secret Choong @ Sep 28 2009, 09:36 AM)
In Malaysia, I don't think a verbal contract is standing, anyway, if you've waited for 30 days, why don't just continue waiting? If you don't like the waiting so much, then why did you opt to pre book an iPhone?
*
I was going after Maxis's plan and not mainly for the phone. Since they bundled together with iPhone, I might as well give it a try right, but it's a different story for me now. All these hassle for a phone definitely does not worth it. Some gets early some gets later. Check out some of the posts, some have to wait X number of days while some waited for almost 2 months.

Might as well sign up for the plan and get HTC but since it's not yet 30 days, I will just continue wait then blink.gif

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Sep 28 2009, 09:44 AM)
I had read over the maxis printout PDF form of Iphone agreement policy. They never mention you can get the RM 200 refund in anyway. But i wonder how does the Maxis staff provides RM 200 refund if they fail to deliver? Why you just wait until 30 days, surely the phone will be there. I've been waiting so frustrating just like you, end of the day, it paid off and i got my phone.
Nope, i booked far far away from sunway. I book at Ipoh Maxis Centre.

When they ask, "have you receive a phone call from maxis"... Just say YES! and mention that the person who called you to come collect the phone when 30 days has reached.

This what i told them smile.gif
*
Despite their policy mentioning no refund on deposit, some forumers have been reporting alternatives of getting their refund back should they do not get their Iphone on time - and that includes if they cannot wait any further. smile.gif

Probably, I've actually been thinking of upgrading to the 32GB one, but I don't know a if a switch like that would just confuse them and make me wait even longer ..
*
You should contact them to ask about this. As far as I know, if you happened to book the 32GB version, you will get it earlier than when you booked for the 16GB version. smile.gif

guess u jz start with jz wanna check the status....
then when they reply with there might be delay....
jz fire back tat ur booking already state can collect on day 30
shortage should not be an excuse, and u already schedule to replace ur phone on tat time....
u paid 200 to commit to the subscription, and u expect maxis to deliver on time for it too....
so "please don giv more excuse for delay"
30 days is a very comfort time for u to prepare the stock.

After seeing so many delays, I called Maxis and pressured them for my Iphone. By the way, mine is send in for warranty claim, just 5 days ago. They told me to wait at least 2 weeks to a month. I'm gonna call everyday. Not keen to wait so long.

If must wait 1 month, I will surely ask them to compensate me for the loss of calls and data.

Hi, I booked my iPhone on the 22nd of September and I collect it today (8 days). I booked mine from Mac Studio at the PJ Digital Mall.

I was worried I had to wait 30 days but I got a pleasant surprise when I got a call today. Overall good service from the guys at the shop.

Haha, thanks. I go there every week on Thursday. The staff knows my face by now lol. I believe that the person I spoke to was the manager, it says so on his tag. He has already pushed Maxis to deliver the stock faster, and I think he's also just as worked up as all of us. XD A bit sad though, Machines is being ignored like that. After all, they were the ones who began selling Apple products before Maxis.

Added on October 1, 2009, 11:08 pm

I don't know if they would even 'layan' me. ): A friend said that chances are that they won't answer my questions because Maxis does put their customers first. Just wait, I suppose. And visit Machines again next Thursday. (:

it seems there is so many issues with the booking and purchase of the iPhone ... with the popularity, it seems Maxis is mere feeding on it regardless the feeling and pains of the consumers ... so many string attached just to get the iphone?

Can we still get it from places like Machines?

Some Maxis center says its OK ti get it wif prepaid some say cant ... blurrr
*
You should go try ask and see. Try register with those centers who accepts prepaid registration, but please be aware that the waiting period is normally quite long because Maxis is giving priority to contract customers. Even with contract customers, Maxis is still facing difficulties to cope up with demand arising from contract customers. smile.gif
