looks like maxis want customer tied contract with them...with hotlink plan they also make money buuuuttttt...they try hard for their buisness...hokhokhok

its all about the money, contracts makes more money in the long run.

if they have truly stop the hotlink plan purchase, they should remove it from their site as it could confuse potential customers. But something tells me that there's still hope, must wait till all the of the hype dies down and when there's a surplus in stocks they would start to sell the hotlink plan.

I dont think you need to wait that long, try visiting a Maxis Center, i went to pyramid's and they guarentee me a phone within 1 month when i take contract.

i thought the i value plan is damn worth ?

6MB is almost RM60 if follow the normal rate
means 500MB suppose need RM5k but now Maxis only charge RM100 a month for the cheapest plan.

i tot no stock, how come walk in oso can buy de ne???

Hmm ... when Maxis sent their Corporate Account rep to my office to sign up 2 staff (1 of them is me la ), they guaranteed that the iPhone 16GB 3GS can be collected on 26th August, if August 18th no stock.

Today called that rep, and he said no news yet, so I called Maxis 1919 (Corporate Line) and spoke to a nice gentleman there. He said according to his system, our order has not been processed and they have no record of the order. WTF! I told the CS that they have taken the FULL payment with guarantee that August 26th can get the phone. Now I don't mind waiting for the phone, IF you be honest up front and tell me that you have to wait for the phone for a month, but don't give me a date and then change you story after that! Total misrepresentation and makes MAXIS as a company look bad.

After I explained that to him, he put me on hold and called up the processing center as I had mentioned that the 2 cheques had been cleared by Maxis. He comes back on the line and says that I can get my 2 phones 3 weeks from today, which is 1st week of September now.

Sometimes I don't know why I'm still supporting Maxis.

because you don't have a choice. maxis is the sole distributor of iPhone in malaysia,

either you stick with them or opt for a parallel import unit (and lose all the perks)

live with it or induce yourself with a permanent amnesia.

This is simply bcoz your free 500mb data is not activated yet. Anyway have you registered your SIM card for 3G? You need to register your hotlink line for 3g usage. You can't just expect you can use the 3g function by turning on the 3g button in your iphone. The free 500mb data is usually activated within a week or 2 from the date you got your iphone, depending on your luck.

say 3 weeks it doesn't mean confirm 1..... they need to concern alot of thing like early prebook customer, enough stock or not causee there alot more ppls are not getting their phone yet.....

I just got my iphone 3GS 16GB black!!! waahooo!!!

They did not call me to go collect but I know stock already arrived, so why should I not included as I am one of the early bookers.

So, I called maxis center 1800821123. As usual, the person who pick up my call have no idea about the iphone 3gs scene happening. Talk about asking us to press 6 for iphone 3gs enquiries. Duh...

Anyway, after explaining to this CS rep and after he asking me few times things I said. He actually is trying to think what to do by asking me useless questions. Then he said he will call TTDI branch and ask about my 3gs status. Then he said TTDI said I can go collect.

15 minutes later, I am at TTDI branch trying to collect my phone. 30 minutes later, walked out happy. Damn..it' about time.

So, I suggest those of you who booked early, go collect your phone now at TTDI. The have stock for 1st batch bookers. Those 2nd batch don't even think of going to try cause got 1 guy there trying to snake his way into collecting the phone show all message from maxis asking him to collect phone and all. The rep said no no no!! At least this time they know what to do with these kiasu people.

Was at KLCC for lunch today and noticed that Maxis was having a roadshow there. For anyone looking to purchase the iPhone 3G 8GB, it's available immediately. For the iPhone 3GS, they are saying it's between THREE and SIX weeks after payment and contract confirmation.
