the problem is....
not all customer they informed that will delay....
and keep on pushing the date later certainly not acceptable....
even there is certain customer who are pushy...
u should not risk breaking the queue and taken others stock to another....

I just called today to not ask for my phone earlier but to confirm my 30days, at first the girl on phone told me 30-45 days.. i told him... no, the staff etc told me that it is a firm 30days.. even to the point that if i don't get a call within 30days/sms just go straight to the maxis center where I ordered to collect. Then she said "If the center said like that, then its like that la (her voice is actually quite polite)".I'm going to hold that to them.

Good point though, I'd wish for those people to who have just recently ordered not be too push as all the people who have recently ordered has been given the duration of 30days++, so please wait until 30days before you push for an IPhone. Sure, you can go and check if maybe they have early stock, but if you are early and your stock is not in yet, just be a gentleman and wait till their time is up =D

Maxis situation reminds me of some restaurants.. sometimes when they are busy and our food is later than the ones who have it, they say their kitchen is confused, because today too busy.. I always politely but stern and tell them.. if you cannot handle the customers, then you shouldn't serve so many.. if you can sit so many people then you should be able to handle the people.

That is why some restaurants overseas they won't sit you even though they might have place, because they know they can't handle... same thing.. if you feel you cannot fulfill your orders, let your customers know beforehand.. don't give people a duration and then keep changing it.

Also, they should understand that, most of us new ones who prebooked the IPhone did so because they said.. 30days wait (which isn't really that bad) and we paid a rm200 deposit and thus makes that our "contract" if you will, they can't just refund us or tell us to wait longer unless we agree to it.

anybody refund the deposit RM200??? i think i'm not going to wait untill 45 days. unless they can give me a prepaid plan and thats ok with me.

Ohhh believe me, I'm not afraid of making a scene, heh for me, if you test my patience means you don't give me face, as far as I am concerned, me shouting at them doesn't embarrass me, it would embarrass them and make potential IPhone adopters think twice.

So yeah, come 30 days, I WILL be at their store hehe and the people there WILL know me. In Malaysia ah, some people don't know how to do things without having someone kicking at their butt with a boot (Dr.Martens Steel toe type).

Just wander, anyone ever missed maxis call before? Did they give u another call back if they cannot approached at the 1st time calling? Caused i missed mine, due i was having phone conversation with my boss and suddenly maxis call in.

Got my 3Gs from Maxis Seremban this afternoon... Went there asked about my booking for 16G white, still no stock. Asked them if I want to upgrade to 32G white, and thanks God they have and I can buy it there and then! Jangan pandang belakang, pay the balance and went back with happy face...

Guys, I got mine 16 GB White @ Cheras Maxis Centre today...hehe. Here is my detail and story that I could share out:-

Booked Date: 2nd Sept
Collection: 1st Oct
Duration: 29 days

Yesterday I sent 1 email out to maxis but didn't get any reply from them. So today 2pm I went to cheras maxis centre where i booked mine, telling the staff i wanna pickup my iphone. So they direct me to that place to queue up for my turn. After 40 mins, its my turn. Here is the conversation:-

W(Rep): Did someone called you up to pickup?
Me: Yes
W(Rep): Is she a malay or indian?
Me: Indian, her name is S. (The fact was she didn't call me up, but I knew that this center, only 3 of the supervisor can actually has the authority to call customer to pickup)
W(Rep): Ok, hold on i'll go check for you.

After a while....W approaching S to confirm my booking

S(Supervisor): Did anyone called you up?
Me: Yes, called me this morning.
S: How did they called up? (Im not sure what she wanna ask me here)
Me: On a private number.

Then that another rep went into the room to check for my unit. W came back to me and ask for my payment while waiting for my unit. And da da, the rep came out with the white box. As in earlier post I called up this S a couple of times and she told me I couldn't get it this week dued to management holding the stock not releasing it out. Maybe because I bugged her too many times and my 30th days waiting period gonna due tomorrow, so she let go a unit to me. Hehe

Last week I used the same tactic but failed to claim my unit. So i guess u guys must keep bugged them so that they will release your unit. As far as I know, maxis already got stocks in their showroom, just that they wanna hold it (duno for wat reason). Good luck to all of you!!!

im currently maxis value 50 plan customer ..

1. Do i need to change to ivalue1 RM100 to get iphone ? or how ? or i can addone the iData plan to get it ?

2. is the easy payment only can use via credit card ??

3. whats the different between 3G n 3Gs ?

1. Yeap you don't have to get the ivalue plan, you can just get the iData to go with ur value plus

3. 3G is cheaper xD 3GS has a built in compass, video recording, 3.2MP camera with auto focus and macro shot, faster processor (from videos I see in youtube it's quite a lot faster) and better graphics. 3G's camera is 2MP and cannot do video recording (unelss you jailbreak it).

why the management like to hold the stock...? its pain U know...huh

hope other distributor will handle next gen Apple devices...
now Telco O2 in UK has lost exclusivity to sold apple since Orange n Vodafone sell it tooo...hahaha this is how to teach monopoly company....hahaha

2) Yes, for Maxis Center they only accept Maybank, Public Bank, HSBC & Citibank. Other than that, you may need to get it from MEP store

i called the SWITCH kuching today for my reference no so tat i can use it to email or complain on maxis careline, the person there tell me he will call back to let me know. later another nice guy call me back, give me wat i want, and he said the there will be a large amount of stock coming in maybe this week or next week and my name will be on the first one on the list to collect the phone. he say i can try complain but that will not work cos they also doing the same thing, rushing the kl side every week. so i think no choice have to wait lah. hopefully no more broken promises..

Is that for real? Then we might have chance of getting our phone. But still, dont just judge and close the case this way, anyhow still need to push them.

P/s: Maxis called me up again, the same girl as yesterday. She said she had checked on Kch branch center and found that the phone hasnt arrived yet. And she continued and said, usually there will have 30-40 days period. But the girl do mentioned if after 9th Oct, i still didnt get any call / sms from Maxis, she advise me just proceed to the center and ask for it and write an email to them as well.

Wow, got back from work and I can see everybody is pretty upset about the waiting time (I fully understand)... Anyway I'm not a Datuk/Datin/Minister/Politician/PM, I'm surprise myself when I got the call. I didn't even call maxis to check. Although I plan to do so after day 10.

Here is my story:
In fact when I first asked around, the first shop I went was the maxis MEP at Sunway. I was told outright by the SA 30-45 days, and was given the arrogant look (like he saying go away...)

At that time I was completely and utterly disgusted at the apple buying experience and almost decided on buying my 2nd choice (SonyEricsson Xperia X1). My existing phone has gone wonky on me and I urgently needed a replacement.

Anyway 2 days later and after much research the iPhone was too compelling to ignore. I tried calling some shops and finally found the Mac Studio had a good a pleasant SA on the other line (I was told 30 days) and I said what the heck. I went over ordered it and prepared to wait. Mind you 8 days was agonizing enough, that's why I really feel for you guys.

Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones. Anyway my theory is that because Mac Studio handles much less volume than say the MEP's then maybe Maxis can better allocate them to such shops. Anyway I really do hope that those who are waiting for such a long time get your phones.

Surprise... Surprise...!! I just picked up my iPhone 3GS today!

I stopped by Machines Sunway Pyramid today. The staff there recognizes me by now. OTL Anyhow, the stock haven't arrived yet. One of them told me that it turned out that there was an arrival of stock roughly 2 weeks ago; they did call me then to ask if I want a White 16GB they currently have. I said I'd wait for the black unit that I booked. He said that they received the wrong stock then and had to return it. For me I'd be waiting for 2 months by tomorrow, and would probably have to wait for another month or so. :/ Those who waited for less than a week are extremely lucky.
