Yeah, thats one of the reason why the call log and counter are not always accurate due to different block mechanism used by different telco. Its usually by country. Most telcos in Malaysia uses 30 second per block. I believe this has something to do with network utilization and billing techniques. There are few ways to set a target/prevention. One is to calculate the 333 minutes to reflect the 30 seconds per block. Lets say 5 hours. So you will have to make sure your call counter/log is less than 5 hours. Just remember that the iPhone call counter takes call in/out so its a combined thing. So every month when you receive Maxis sms notification of billing, you just reset the call counter. Also try to call 123 to limit your credit to somewhere comfortable so that your bill will never exceed a certain limit.

Yes, really pissed me off too. There's this lady in Maxis Gardens which I have a grudge at. A lady who looks like Malay but speaks Chinese/Cantonese. She never check and just say NO... NO... NO... Dang! In the end, my iPhone is waiting there for a whole week!

in case u still dont know, the personnel that have been talking to u through 123 number are not from Maxis, they are from different company that has been paid by Maxis to handle all the shits Maxis produced, same like Vads to Streamyx n Celcom, client company(Maxis) gives limited information to them to inform the angry customers, the reason y they were so clueless when u asked anything 'advanced' or 'fresh'. The communications among them are not so good either. So dont expect you can get reliable information from the call centre.

p/s: I've only managed to stay in Vads for 3weeks while im still under training (not answering calls yet), the HR treated us like slaves or 2nd grade people.

I booked mine at Machines Sunway Pyramid on August 3rd. And until now there's still no news. They did have an extra white 16GB unit for sale a week ago. I was told that Machines Sunway has filed a complaint to Maxis, but they have yet to get a reply. Anyone who placed order at any other Machines apart from the KLCC branch acquired theirs yet? :/

Tell me about it. ._. My father wrote a complain letter so that they would make a push to Maxis. The people at Machines said that Maxis is giving the priority to their own customers. At this point I've probably waited the longest here? Lol. Wouldn't be that urgent if my phone hadn't broke down 2 months ago. Quite sad; the only thing we can do is wait.

wanna ask something, i booked my iphone 32g using ivalue plan2 12months, paid the deposit 200, now they called me to collect it, i ask for the balance i should pay, they told me it's 2190.. and the deposit 200 as an advance that will be deducted from my phone bill...
i'm confuse now, i tot i just need to pay 1990 for it upon collection?

That deposit RM200 is for booking the phone, it will be deducted from ur actual amount that u pay when u collect the phone (RM2190 - 200 = RM1990)

However Maxis requires that you pay a prepayment of monthly phone bills depending on the package that you take. For iValue 2 at 12 months, the prepayment is RM200 so altogether when you collect the phone, you have to pay RM1990 + RM200 = RM2190 =)

The prepayment will be credited equally over the first 5 months, meaning RM200 / 5 = RM40. So your first 5 months bill will be cheaper by RM40.

just went to Maxis MEP and the lady there told me have to wait. I asked for a refund of deposit (coming up with oversea and not coming back excuses, bla bla bla... ) and she finally told me now the list on the 19th Aug. So i have to wait another 1 week. damn it~

at booking, u pay rm200
tat will deduct from your total balance of the phone
so when collect phone, u pay remaining rm1590 for the phone...

now...for ivalue2 12 months, u need to include prepayment of rm200 upfront as well
so on collection time, u ll pay RM1790 (phone remaining balance + prepayment)
total of coz is rm1990

but the 200 prepayment will be credit back to ur bill....
ivalue2 monthly commitment is rm155
assume that you never use more than wat it offer....ur monthly payment is rm155
the prepayment 200 will divide equally across 5 months, 200/5 = 40
so for first 5 months, ur bill will be 155-40 = rm115 instead of rm155

1790 - 200 = 1590 for the phone not including the prepayment of rm200 for ivalue2 12months

after checking my receipt i booked mine on 18th Aug at 1U roadshow and finally yesterday maxis called me up to collect the phone, but too bad i only free to go collect this weekend....

nearly forget it has been a month but i remember they said it takes 3 weeks for my batch to arrive...hehe...
